If you had to tag each team with a percentage chance of winning the division, what would they be? Or you can just say the Chiefs, since that's all I really care about.

KC - 70%
SD - 15%
OAK - 11%
DEN - 4%

Does this seem biased at all? KC has 2 of their toughest games behind them, SD has those same two exact games in front of them. Oakland has a couple tough games including @PIT. Denver just seems done. I really think SD is still the only team with a chance and they just keep proving they aren't gonna go on that huge run they need to in order to win the division.

Here's to hoping Tennessee can go into SD this week and basically clinch it for KC!

This. Oakland is only a game and a half back and showing signs of life, although our remaining schedule is much more favorable. If we falter, they could catch us. Our games against them will be huge.

The other two? Stick a fork in 'em. LMAO

It's not that I don't think Oakland is better than SD, because they very well may be. But it's that I think Oakland has showed just about how good they are, and it's really unlikely for them to go on a huge run and end up 11-5 or 10-6. The Chargers are probably not gonna go on a huge run, but I'd say it's more possible for them to end the season on a 8-1 run than it is for Oakland to end up 10-6 themselves. Basically, I think there's a lot more variance in how the Chargers could end their season where the Raiders should be more defined at this point. I can't see how you can possibly think the Chiefs only have a 50% chance of winning the division though.

What's the deal with the 0.1, cdcox? Do they have a really hard schedule coming up or something, or do you still have Jamarcus in your equations?

I wouldnt even say the Chiefs are the most talented team in the AFC West.

I will say they are the best coached at this point in time.

Those are the teams that usually win.

The Donks thought they were sitting pretty at 6-0 last year and missed the playoffs. Nothing is going to be clinched this weekend one way or another. Give 'er beans though. Kerry Collins needs all the support he can find. :D

The Chargers' remaining schedule is too tough. There will be no season-ending winning streak this year.

Also, another thing to factor in is the changing of the guard in the afc west. For too long, this division has been dominated really only be one team. Thats coming to an end. The chiefs are getting better, as are the raiders. The chargers have been given the division crown, rather than being challenged for it.

These late second half heroics in the season by San Diego will prove to be more of a pest than a "sure lock" for the AFC west crown. To put it simply, they will no longer be able to afford starting out slow anymore. Those days are over! You either come out of the gate hot, or you watch the playoffs instead of participating in them come January.

Was it 2007 that the chargers went 8-8 and won the division? Yea, those days are over.

2008.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The San Diego Chargers got lucky. Even better, they've got Philip Rivers.

After their onside kick bounced off Chiefs wideout Dwayne Bowe's chest and Kassim Osgood recovered for San Diego, Rivers needed just four plays Sunday to complete one of the most stirring comebacks of the season.

With 1:19 left, Rivers hit Malcom Floyd with a 4-yard TD pass. Then his 10-yarder to Vincent Jackson with 36 seconds to go lifted the Chargers to a 22-21 victory over the stunned Chiefs, who led 21-3 in the third quarter.

After their try for a two-point conversion failed, the Chargers (6-8) still needed help from the football gods. Aided by a delay-of-game penalty, the Chiefs (2-12) tried a 50-yard field goal on the final play. Connor Barth, who had been 9-for-9 before missing a 34-yarder in the first half, was wide left.

By the numbers the Raiders should be predicted to LEAD the AFCW.

They have not only beaten two AFCW teams but have CLOBBERED them.

Exactly why I think they will finish 2nd or push KC for 1st in the AFC West. They've already played the Donks and Chargers, one being on the road. KC has only played 1 divisional game and it was at home. There is still a Lot of food to be eaten on this table.
