Cassel's probably gonna start. We wouldn't throw a rookie out there with a guy who's "improving"

Take a QB, draft a bunch of receivers, see which one works.

How about QB?

I would guess all the top QBs will be gone by the time we pick.

WR is a desperate need on this team.

We had a undrafted FA catch a td pass today...doesn't that tell you enough about our receiving corp?

I would guess all the top QBs will be gone by the time we pick.If all the QBs will be gone, then so will the receivers.

Green and Jones will both be gone by 20. If we are thinking playoffs, then we'll miss them both. No sense in reaching for a WR when we can grab one from the next "tier" in the 2nd round.

QB's will be gone when we draft.. we gotta go WR or defense.

QB or WR, take the best available.

We do difinitely need a WR, but, while I'm not putting the blame for this loss on Cassel, QB is still the #1 priority in my book.

I cant believe Bowe dropped that pass....that would have sealed the fucking game.

well i can acutally believe it. Bowe sucks......fuckin sucks

I have been saying it all season. Our WR's suck. Worst in the league. No speed at all, hell even Dawson was saying it on the radio over and over. No separation.

Bowe is embarrassing. He's clearly not a clutch player; he's always had problems with drops. Now that the team is consistently in a position to win at the end of games, it's even worse. I honestly don't understand what his problem is or how he still gets so many targets when he lets them down regularly.

He gets so many targets because we have no other wide receivers with any skill whatsoever. Who else is there to throw to? That's why we need a legit receiver.

I think we take the best player available and fudge that a little in the case of WR or QB.

Only if there is not a true No.1 to be taken when we pick. Are there any potential FA No.1 WRs available this next season?

We're stuck with Cassel, so get used to it.

Now we gotta get him a Randy Moss to overthrow.

Bowe is having a good season overall, but WR is still an urgent need.

I'd prefer a franchise QB, but if that's not in the cards, they need to find a #1 WR.

Ryan Broyles from OU would be sick. 1 more playmaker who can make some insane grabs

BigMeatballDave

We need a stud #1 WR. Bowe isnt it, but he's a good 2.
QB would be nice. Cassel is what he is. All we can hope for is if he keeps being put in position where he's needed to win games and cant deliver, then maybe Haley and Co. will go in another direction. I'm not saying I want the Chiefs to lose so they'll make a change. I'm saying teams are going to keep forcing Cassel to beat them and exposing Matt. I do hope, though, that in that exposure that Haley and Pioli will see its just not working. I dont think this will happen this season, maybe next.

We need:

QB, Pass Rusher, and Receiver. We draft the best one of those available in each round without reaching and we win more games.

Well I wish that I could remember the post I had about who would need QB's.

Picking a first round QB means it is a must need position, so thus here is what I see

NFC East = No Need for QB
NFC West = Arizona, San Fran, Seattle
NFC North = Minnesota
NFC South = No Need for QB

AFC East = Buffalo
AFC West = KC
AFC North = No Need for QB
AFC South = Jacksonville

I just googled for "2011 nfl draft positions" and took this since they said they updated it on Nov 7th.
http://www.nepatriotsdraft.com/2009/12/2011-nfl-mock-draft.html
Not saying this is right or wrong but just going with where this person thinks the final standings will be at when 2010 ends.

For QB's:
They has Luck going to Buffalo 1st
Then Locker going to San Fran 6th
Mallet going to Arizona at 10th

For Wide Receivers:
AJ Green to Cleveland at 4
Julio Jones to St Louis at 11
Michael Floyd to the Pats at 12
Jonathon Baldwin to Seattle at 21

So the question is, what remaining QB's or WR's would fall to the Chiefs at 24. Of course everyone will get pissy since they have the Chiefs taking an O-line at 24.

Would you pick any of the following in the late first round?
I got my top prospects from this site:
http://football.about.com/od/nfldraft/a/nfldrafttoppros.htm
In no particular order

QB's remaining

Christian Ponder, Florida State
John Brantly, Florida
Terrelle Pryor, Ohio State
Blaine Gabbert, Missouri
Jerrod Johnson, Texas A&M

WR's Remaining

Mark Dell, Michigan State
Chris Owusu, Standford
Terrance Toliver, LSU
Austin Pettis, Boise State
DeVier Posey, Ohio State
James Rodgers, Oregon State

QB needs

AFC East = Buffalo

i think Buffalo might be close to going with Fitzpatrick

he is getting pounded and still turning in a good performance

if Cassel doesn't improve then the Chiefs should do whatever they can to trade up with Buffalo and grab Luck.

I am not fully versed on the college game. All I did was post the rankings of this site

so as to get a glimpse of what was available.
