Once he was cleared academically it was only a matter of how many games. I doubt Fescoe has any real source within the NCAA. 4-8 games is a guess. Wall sat 2 games and repaid some money last year.

I want to hear directly from the NCAA

I doubt Fescoe got this info from the NCAA. Probably got it from KU sports information.

does the 4-8 game include the 2 games we've already played?

No, the exhibition games do not count. They sat him out to show good faith with the NCAA.

I really doubt it...preseason/exhibition games don't count usually.

Why is he being suspended from ANY games at all if he's being cleared?

They counted for John Wall last year.

Also, this is probably a bunch of bullshit anyway. Fescoe has no sources in the NCAA. Seriously.

I don't believe anything until I hear Keitzman report it.

Ala MU going to the Big 10. That was spot on.

Nothing will ever beat him saying his sources have told him that Lance Stephenson is on his way to Manhattan (KS) to sign his KSU LOI so he could play against the Jayhawks as revenge for recruiting X over him.

Or the time he said Patterson was leaving TCU coming to coach the KSU football team. ROFL

I assume the Tony Mitchell ruling is coming soon too.

A Kansas City radio host is hardly a reliable source.

Well Fescoe isn't a complete retard when it comes to stuff like this...so this is about the news I expected. However, it has been known for the last two weeks that Selby will play this year. Word has came out from fans that have came in contact w/ Self or Selby..not something they can publicly announce though. It still says "Will be cleared" doesn't say "officially cleared".

I think half of the suspension is going to be from lying to the NCAA about being at Bruce Pearl's house for a f*cking BBQ though, maybe not the taking money from family friend as originally thought.

well that was dumb ... if they are going to fuck you then you might as well enjoy it.

if they were punish him without even finding him "guilty" of anything and if they were never going to count exhibition games into the equation then KU should of just played him and helped him get ready for the season.

i wonder what vague and nondescript ruling they are going to pull out their ass this time for a punishment they can't really prove?

"Mr. Selby failed to provide convincing bullshit to keep the media off our backs therefore we had to go through the motions of trying to make ourselves look good by punishing the student /NCAA"

He's just stating the obvious, he will be cleared, but he isn't.

He's spouting stuff to gather interest. The Shiver says there has been no new announcements regarding Selby but expects a ruling sometime next week. Exhibition games generally do count for suspension games which is why Self held him out of those. Apparently he could have played in them but would rather save them for any penalty levied.

Enes Kanter ruled ineligible for the season by the NCAA. No real surprise there but sucks for UK big time. Appeals are being filed.

Yeah figured that. When the pro team comes out and admits they paid a guy 100K, thats probably going to be an issue.
