I have an Inifiniti G35 and I just replaced the battery in the car. When I start the car the RPM's drop too low and the car shuts off. I took it to the dealer and they told me I have to relearn the throttle. They wanted to charge me $135.

Can I do this on my own without going through the dealer? Thanks.

Have you tried adjusting the idle? I've never heard of "relearning the throttle."

Here's the 350z process which should be the same.

Copied this from a 350 Z forum. Not sure if it will work for you but the G35 is similar to the 350.

$135 for THAT? I'm in the wrong business.

Yes this is why you ALWAYS buy the shop manual for any new car. Simple procedures like that, that have to be done when you replace the battery etc.

Also don't forget the $100+ to pull ODB codes you can do for free at auto zone.

I've already started an Infinity throttle relearn business. Anybody needs help with this, I'll do it for $129.95.
