Henne and Pennington both out for the year. Think Thiggy will make anyone wish we woulda kept him instead of going after Casshole?

I wish the guy the best of luck. He's done nothing but play hard and patiently wait his turn.

Well, at least Thigpen has a chance to get better and hasn't reached his ceiling IMO like Cassel has.

I wish we would have kept Thigpen.

I say that for the same reason that we should have never traded Scott Fujita.

We draft Derrick Johnson and trade away a competing player so that he could be given the spot.

We trade for Cassel and automatically trade away Thigpen to hand Cassel the spot without an ounce of competition.

It is no coincidence that Derrick Johnson started raising his level of play once he had to earn his spot back due to competition...I think the same would happen if Cassel would be put in the same situation TBH...if not, Thigpen would get a chance and if that didn't work out, try, try again.

I think Thigpen could have been pretty damn good under Weis' coaching and this demanding staff.

Its too bad we will never find out.

Hopefully with a first rounder.

Fins kicked tires on five quarterbacks (http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/11/15/fins-kicked-tires-on-five-quarterbacks/)

The Dolphins have announced that quarterback Patrick Ramsey has been signed to replace Chad Pennington on the roster, whose season and possibly career has ended due to a shoulder injury.

Per a league source, Ramsey won a five-way beauty contest for the job.
The other candidates? Tom Brandstater, Tommy Grady, J.T. O’Sullivan, and JaMarcus Russell.

One of the other four could end up getting a job, if/when Chad Henne lands on injured reserve, too. Henne suffered a knee injury on Sunday.

I already wish the Chiefs could trade QBs with the Dolphins.

If Thigpen plays well and the Dolphins sneak into the playoffs while Cassel bombs and we miss, Pioli will look foolish.

Thigpen was inaccurate, but at least he was mobile and aware of his surroundings.

The Chiefs should pick up Tommy Grady.

He is so close to Tom Brady that Cassel would feel threatened and actually play well.

Cassel's better than Thigpen. Which isn't saying much. But Thigpen's a hell of a lot cheaper. In car terms, Thigpen's a $400 Yugo, and Cassel's a $25,000 Kia Rio.

I hope Thig kills in Miami. Nothing but appreciation for that kid.

We would be 5-4 with him in KC.

With 60 million more in still in the bank.

It's not my money, but it sure would be nice to spend that $60 mil on Jamaal Charles and Brandon Flowers.

Not really. Thigpen started for part of a year with a SHITTY team. Sometimes he looked horrible, and at other times he played pretty well.

What's stupid is the haters who decided Thigpen sucks just because the Chiefs ran a spread offense while he was here.

How much better off would the Chiefs be if they had kept Thigpen and then took their time to find the right long-term solution instead of jumping at Cassel?

Some Dolphins fans get it. They're excited over at finheaven though. Poor bastards.

Wow, I've never seen so much love for a perennial backup.

Do you guys not understand he cannot fit the ball into windows from a 3-5-7 step drop? Lets say Marshall is running an 18 yard dagger behind the LBs and in front of the safety and has a CB on his hip. Thigpen CANNOT put that ball in that window.

Example: Marlon Moore is running a 15-18 yard out. All Thigpen needs to do is put the ball outside of Moore with some zip. Result?

Thigpen can create space and allow himself to create plays downfield. But how long does that last when teams start overloading a side or corner blitzing, taking away his legs and improvisational ability?

Are you guys ready for throws like these?

Hehehe.....

If he did, he wouldn't have traded for Matt Cassel and signed him to a huge contract. Cassel sucks.

Cassell has thrown 16 TDs and 4 INTs with a 95 QB rating...

I'm sure that sucks.
