Chiefs take a look at cornerback

2 hours ago by FOXSports

The Kansas City Chiefs have six cornerbacks on their 53-man roster, but that didn’t stop them from taking a look at a free-agent defensive back.

Veteran CB Tye Hill, who was released by the Tennessee Titans on Sept. 4, worked out for the Chiefs earlier this week, a source confirmed.

Hill also recently worked out for the Washington Redskins and had a visit with the Cincinnati Bengals.

Hill, 28, was originally selected in the first round of the 2006 NFL Draft.

The Chiefs have now worked out 21 players this season, but only two of them have been cornerbacks.

Talk about someone that truly did not live up to his hype.

And he's smaller than Flowers, even. But the guy has some wheels.

Maybe they want Carr to try harder?

i may be in the minority on this one,

but I think Carr sucks.

I'd like for us to get another (stud) CB and put Carr in dime/nickel situations.

Flower may end up an elite CB but Carr has probably been more consistent this season.

Obviously, the Chiefs are worried because Flowers didn't practice. I'll take this guy over the scrubs we have at backup.

Kill two birds with 1 stone and bring in Troy Brown
He'll be the perfect rolemodel for Terrance Copper

Hed be a decent fit, in the short term in the nickle defense, with Arenas likely taking over in the starters role. Not sure where he is at physically these days, and that is likely the key, but I always thought he would be a good nickle.

He isnt a good player or anything, but he is on par with the guys he would be covering that play for Seattle, with all their injuries.
