Wiegmann is a Haley- this time around. Pretty cool to look at the list though.

I'd like to think we just rented him out for a couple years.

Only one potential Pro Bowler from the Haley era - Berry.

Moeaki's arrow is pointing up.

Only one potential Pro Bowler from the Haley era - Berry.since you said potential, don't you think moeaki has some?
and, how long did it take the franchise-level players to ascend to that status?
oh, and waters was from the Gunther era, right?

Hmmm... was he?

I need confirmation, and I'll change the OP.

I don't see Moeaki as a Pro Bowl tight end in the Vernon Davis mold. I see him as a solid tight end and long term starter, but not a big play guy that has to be accounted for.

Cassel won't make the Pro Bowl this year and I don't see him putting up the kind of numbers in the future that will lead to Pro Bowls. He can't play the NFC West every year.

It would be hard to keep him out.

It would be hard to keep him out.if he even has the potential in him, i think it'd be 2 years before he improves enough

How is Cassel not considered a Franchise player?

I wouldn't be shocked if he made it this year at all.

I need confirmation, and I'll change the OP.he was signed undrafted in 2000 while gun was still coach

If he makes it this year, it's because

Brady
Manning
Rivers
Roethlisberger
Flacco

Decided not to go.

Even then, Sanchez, Garrard or Orton have just as much of a shot, if not more of a shot.

Lilja was picked up as an UFA by Vermeil, IIRC...

Brady, Manning, Rivers will probably get the nod at QB. Cassel is clearly ahead of Sanchez, Garrard, and Orton in Pro Bowl status this year. If the Chiefs lose it the playoffs and say Brady goes to the Super Bowl, I could see Cassel getting the invite then.

Vermeil sucks at drafting... that's what i see....

The big thing for me is the coaching right now.

No way does Derrick Johnson ascend like this under the previous Vermeil or Herm regimes. Like-wise for Charles, Bowe and Dorsey.

Only one potential Pro Bowler from the Haley era - Berry.

Before Haley arrived we had 0 potential probowlers besides waters.

Cassel is a potential probowler if he keeps playing like he is. And the rest are first second year players.
Any potential probowlers that you think we have now, would not have been considered to be so a year ago, and any player on that list could emerge the way the they have in the next season or three.

I don't see Moeaki as a Pro Bowl tight end. .

I could easily see Moeaki getting the nod a cpl times.

Vernon didn't have more than 52 catches or 4 Tds until his fourth season, and only 20 in his rookie year.

Mo's got great hands, and is faster than you would think. Dude is an athlete, and could easily become a top 5 TE in the NFL.

We given Haley more than enough chances to right this ship. It's time we cut our ties with this guy.
