Plays well then other teams are definitely going to be interested.

Think of the 1st rounder Houston gave for their qb.

Maybe he meant the Houston Oilers in like 1985 or something

Actually by 2nd rounder you mean two 2nd and a swap of 1st?

Even if croyle plays well, cassel will always be the starter. As much as im a fan of his, Id rather see him go to a different team with a better chance to play and we get compensated for him.

When the trade is completed, Atlanta and Houston will flip-flop first-round picks in April's draft, and Atlanta will receive Houston's second-round picks in 2007 and 2008. The deal will be announced Thursday. Houston has the No. 8 pick in the first round of the draft, while Atlanta is slotted 10th.

To tag him the Chiefs would have to pay him the average salary of the NFL's three highest paid fake punt specialists and they have not invented a computer that could make that calculation.

Yes, but not after playing one game. And that's if teams were kind enough to just forget the rest of Brodie's career.

Teams win games, not one player. Look at the situation. He had Herm's (N)Oline, not even a lazy LJ to play with so no running game and just an overall crappy supporting cast. Cassel did not look much better last season and Croyle still had one of our better QB performances of the season in only one game.

To everyone who defended Cassel saying it was his Oline, rushing game, WR's dropping balls etc... Does Croyle not get the same luxury?

He can't stay healthy. People are forgetting that Haley almost got rid of his ass after he injured his ****ing arm in PRACTICE and missed some time this preseason. There's no guarantee he'll make it to Sunday in one piece. I know that speaks for every player, but damn this guy is a walking vagina.

He went through an appendectomy this morning, a minor one, he's fine. 50-50 he will play on Sunday. Some think he'll play, some think he won't.

I don't remember anything about Haley almost getting rid of him but I do agree his injuries are the concern and always will be with him. But that does not mean he can't be a decent backup QB and fill in for a game or 2. He does have some talent but unfortunately he was not graced with a football players body and it breaks easily and frequently.

Troy Aikman went 0-11 to start his career so yes bueno. Hopefully though Cassel gets back quick and picks up where he left off these last few weeks and we don't have to have this conversation.

According to ESPN at that time, the Chiefs were trying to shop him. Saying Haley was about fed up with him.

Now that you mention it I think I do remember hearing something about that. You have to figure his injuries kind of a blessing though. If he had stayed healthy and won games for us we might still be listening to Herm Edwards post game conferences and Carl Peterson's bag of hot air.

All this is....is an opportunity for Croyle to prove that he deserves a spot on this roster. If he plays like shit while Cassel is out....then he's gone after this year and the FO will bring in a QB to sit behind Cassel. If he plays great....then he has probably earned himself a new contract to sit behind Cassel.

Matt Schaub's career numbers were not that dissimilar to Croyle's when he was traded.

Schaub - 84/161 1,033 6/6
Croyle - 173/300 1,631 8/8

I think that trade was based more on what he had shown in preseason and the fact he had prototype size and accuracy.

Bet we could get a third for Croyle if he plays well.

I called a DR friend of mine that I taught how to fly. He said that he should be back home by now if not same day (if caught early enough) and could return to practice next week. Playing at STL...
