The streak is over. Now Favre please just hang it up and go away for 10 years or so.

Pretty remarkable feat. Love him or hate him, he's had an amazing career.

He's a stud, and he'll send you a text to prove it.

It kicks off in one hour and he's on the inactive list.

I consider it the most impressive record in all of sports.

Seven consecutive Tours de France wins doesn't do it?

ROIDS BRO. ROIDS.

Pevre's streak comes to an end. Awesome.

Now he'll want to start a new one.

Seriously, dude. You should have retired.

I can't imagine ever seeing anyone else break that record in my lifetime, let alone another QB to break it!

Should have retired, but kudos on being a tough SOB all these years

Ha...

Bicycles...intense.

Favre rides bicycles to warm up...

The streak should have ended a few seasons ago. Regardless, it is still impressive...

I think Manning (the real one) just went over 200, didn't he?

The way they protect quarterbacks, I think a QB may be the most likely position to break the record in the future. I was noting this in the rules change thread as a reason to believe that quarterbacks are protected too much.

I really thought the way to handle the Diva known as Farve was to let him play the 1st series of every game and then sit down. Why not do that the next 3 games?

The Tour is pretty widely acknowledged as the most physically grueling sporting event. You think they burn 6,000 calories per day because it is easy?

Consequently Eli Manning will start his 100th straight game tonight. In order to break Favre's record he would need to start every game through 2022.

Crazy. I don't see this record being broken although if they go to 18 game seasons I suppose it's possible.

But that's optional. You COULD sit down the whole time.

I understand what a feat this is and it is truly the greatest individual winning streat of all time...but it doesnt not compare to what Farve did...there are no 300 pound cyclists trying to rip your head off.

There was speculation today about him being put on IR to avoid the distraction for the last 3 games of whether or not he will play.

Now they are worried about him being a distraction???

I appreciate all that Farve has accomplished in his NFL career but will be glad when the sports media quits blowing him every five minutes.

Not going to happen.

There is talk of rights to a "death bed-Cam" in the works for ESPN. 30 years from now we will be able to watch a demented broken old-man Favre shit and piss himself right up until the last moment he thinks he is 30 years old again.

Will he play the rest of the season now? Most unconceivable record in sports. They weren't protecting QBs like they have been over the last few years.

really? We're talking about physical contact sports here, being chased by huge 250-300 men.

I never really got why people were all over the guy the last few years. I gotta say now though that the dude came back one too many times. I am sure his wallet disagrees but his marriage would most likely be in a better place.

As for Favre, I still feel he is beloved by the media but among the more overrated players in league history.
