View Full Version : Chiefs Anybody catch what Schefter just said?

He said something like don't be surprised if Charlie Weis isn't back in KC next year and then some stuff about Josh McDaniel. Anybody?

So did he suggest that Weis might take the Denver job and that McDumbass, might be the Chiefs next OC?

I missed it. But I dont see Weis going anywhere anytime soon.
& even if he did move on? Whose to say the next guy wont be better.

He said not to be surprised if Weis isn't back, then mentioned that McDaniels is the guy that has gotten the most from Cassel in the past.

Implying that if Weis leaves, Josh's relationship with Pioli makes him the favorite to get the job.

Did say the Haley-McD handshake issue would have to be resolved.

And some BS about McDaniels coming to KC as OC.

Total speculation.

He gave no substantiation for anyone to think that Weis might leave. He didn't even say whether Weis would leave for another job, or retirement or what.

I heard that and then he said "Josh McDaniels was also the guy that refused to shake Haleys hand". Which is obviously wrong and the other way around.

I cannot see a scenario outside of Weiss stepping down for health reasons (Charlie lives by me and frequents a locally owned pizza joint named All Star Pizza, and jesus that guy looks and eats unhealthy) that Pioli and Haley would even consider a switch at the offensive coordinator position.

I've said this numerous times.

McDumbass got the most from Cassel because he adjusted the offense and ran the spread for 70% of plays.

He did nothing to develop his skillset as an NFL pro set QB.

We can lose wies and it probably won't be a big deal. If we lose crennel though our D will seriously regress, unless we can replace him with grob.

With Haley talking about developing coaches even as they work on getting the team ready for games, I believe that Crennel and Weis are working with the younger staff members, preparing them for the day when they are asked to take on larger roles with this team.

Oh how the mighty have fallen. Denver head coach's best option is as an assistant in Kansas City.

Maybe McDaniels can donate Weis a new liver? That's what he'd be good for.

From what I'm told, Weis has no desire to be a HC ever again and loves the structure of the organization and being back with old friends.

I'd be fucking insanely shocked if he left. He has a multi-year deal that he's paid very handsomely.

McDaniels was a better OC than HC. Weis was a better OC than college HC. Frankly, it's pretty much a wash, I'd say. With the running game the Chiefs have, if Cassel and Bowe don't shit themselves the offense should do fine with either Weis or McDaniels IMO.

Because he went on national TV and said it could happen, and a few days later he tweets that it's not gonna happen.

What else would you expect from the man who said Pioli wasn't coming to KC?

Look at what the Broncos record is. Now look at the Chiefs. Now look who's been in a playoff game more recently. Haley and McDaniels were both hired in 2009. One guy is still the head coach of a team, the other isn't(hint: the one that isn't was with the Broncos). The Broncos even passed up on Spags.

LOL one small incident doesn't mean you can't get a long. Did you ever have an altercation with someone you later became friends with or hell even a friend? Have you ever got mad at someone over a game?

Unless you're a little bitch that isn't going to be a big deal at all the next day. Hell they hugged the next game time they seen each other.
