What I saw today is that there IS another level with Cassel. CC is right to want to see that level executed at the play off level against top-tier teams. With improvements to the offensive line and WR corps, I believe Cassel WILL be able to perform at that level game-in and game-out, and be even more comfortable/confident doing so.
Don't get me wrong; as our line/WR's stand today, we could scratch, claw, and fight our way to the top, but it won't be the polished product I fully expect this team to be around this time next year.

I've always been a 'wait and see' kinda guy with the Chiefs. I wasnt that way with MC for whatever reason. I was on his bandwagon the 1st half of last season, but then quickly abandoned ship. It took me until the Seattle game to see I was wrong.

Now, my wagon is firmly hitched to MC.

Yes, patteeu, I flip-flopped! :)

My dislike for Cassel's play on the field was EPIC. I was the first in many threads to make smart-ass comments about how much he sucked, or how horrible he is, etc.

He is a warrior and leader on the field. The man climbed through a mile shit and came out smelling like a rose. Props to him for weathering the fanbase storm.

Matt Cassel always had my respect for his toughness, but not until around mid-season did he earn my respect as an NFL QB.

Bravo Matt.

We are proud to call you one of us, a Chief.

No I do not, especially not now. I'm just wondering if you believe the Titans and The Ravens/Pats represent the same level of overall challenge?

Look; there are no easy wins/games in the NFL, I truly get that. We took the hand that was dealt and won the tournament with it; I get that.
The only point I am trying to make is that I don't believe we've seen the best that Cassel has to offer. Yet. But we will when even more pieces of "The Right 53" are assembled with higher quality personnel.

We're ahead of schedule on the Pioli/Haley era and we're kicking major ass. I'm just saying that the TRUE best is yet to come.

Now, enough bickering, and ON TO VICTORY!!!!!!!:thumb:

I was super excited when we first got him despite some people saying he was going to be the next Mitchell and that he was going to suck massive balls. I didn't believe them at first, but then their prophecy started to come true, he played like shit. He has done a complete 180 and I, too, am convinced now that he is our QBoTF. It all climaxed today as Matt Cassel has reached his peak as a Chief. Let's hope it wasn't the summit and there's still some room for him to grow with better weapons and better pass-pro, but that's really neither here nor there, I think he might have arrived. I can now look forward to the draft and not worry about QBs. People wearing #7 on gameday will not be laughed at anymore. Thank you, God.

The change in his entire game from the first five or six weeks of the season is mind boggling. I can't remember another player flipping the switch like this mid season. At first thought I consider the playoffs to be gravy this year. Nobody (or very few) thought we'd get in, let alone win the division with 1 game left in the season.

You know...get the kids some playoff experience, then bring 'em back bigger and stronger next year.

And this is probably the "realistic" approach to our scenario.

But man, I'd love to tell realism to go to hell. And I want to believe that we can ride an improving team that could...COULD be peaking at just the right time of the year. A little Arrowhead magic, building confidence to what would be a HUGE step for us on the road, and seeing what happens from there.

Ya gotta get to the dance and anything can happen.

Unlike the last playoff appearance we had, I think this time we have the playmakers to make us truly dangerous. I only hope that our coaching makes us less predictable than we have been at times in the regular season.
