View Full Version : Chiefs So...who sits next week?

They gotta' be resting guys in a meaningless game. Cassel? Charles? I'd start Battle and keep Jones for emergency.

EDIT: I isn't meaningless. If Indy wins next week, a loss would put us at the 4 seed. An Indy loss renders the game meaningless.

Screw that, let's stomp the Faiders.

Is it meaningless?

Doesn't it determine who we play?

Depends on if you want to face the Jets or Ravens...

Win and you play the Jets, Lose and most likely you play Ravens...

This team needs to work on getting better, and needs to be sharp for the playoffs. Guys will play, for at least a half I would think.

It does. We want to win so that we can play the Jets instead of the Ravens.

Yeah...I forgot that if Indy wins next week, we have to win to maintain 3rd seed. My bad.

Don't sit Cassel. I couldn't bear a blowout at home if Croyle starts.

Sit nobody. Pound the mother-loving piss out of the Raiders.

Then get the Jets at Arrowhead.

And repeat.

There are going to be some tough decisions. I definitely want to play the Jets, but it sure would suck to see the Raiders take a cheap shot on Cassel and knock him out.

Don't we need to win next week to rank ahead of Indy? Nobody sits I guess.

I want them to play the starters at least for the first half. I am coming to KC and going to the game and want to see some Rayturds get their asses handed to em. Plus I wanna see the Chiefs go 8-0 at home this year.

We can have the 3 seed instead of the 4 seed so it's not meaningless, especially if the other seed is the Colts.

It's not meaningless. It's the difference between playing the Ravens or the Jets and that is significant.

Only if Indy wins next week. If we somehow get flexed to the night game (doubtful), at least we could know where we stand with Indy.

Yeah...that's been established. I already corrected myself.

n00b? How old are you? 13? I was on this board when the old KC Star board members migrated here. I don't have the kind of time it takes to rack up thousands of posts.

As to your point. We could beat the Raiders at home without several key personnel If we can't, then we aren't much of a playoff team.

Play everyone to keep momentum going like the Giants did a couple years back

Its the raiders.... you have to play them. Honestly I would rather play the Jets at home rather than the Ravens. Flacco>Sanchez

It would have been meaningless if the Raiders won, but they failed to do anything for us. We have to win to avoid any chance at getting stuck with the Ravens.

The Chiefs need to keep the momentum going heading into the playoffs... go out next week and play the game to win.

Sanchez and Flacco have won a combined 5 playoff games with their stellar play and leadership....we're doomed either way

Yep but they are one year more experienced now than last year.

I don't see Haley sitting anyone until the game is pretty much decided. After today's Brokie 1-series experiment I don't see Cassel sitting but I do see a get the ball out of his hands quick type of game.

Teams that sit their starters must not have anything to improve on....

Players play. Most of the time, sitting guys backfires. This team cam still tighten things up and it needs to be done as a complete unit. Additionally, sitting guys sends a bad message and the guys that play will lose an edge.

Finally, remember how bad we were to start the rams game? That was the offense trying to get its rhythm back. It took nearly a half to shake off the SD stink. We won't have that luxury in the playoffs.

Play 'em all...

Getting the 3 is better for 2nd rd opponents as well.

Must win next week, plus do not let Oakland sweep the division.

I was just thinking about that too. If they do we won't hear the end of it from Raiderites.
