Good Christ.

If Seattle wins the division with a 7-9 record, I sure hope the League takes steps to prevent this shit in the future.

Could this not have fit into the other Rams' thread you started today?

It isn't a Rams thread. I just said that it was the SNF for Week 17. I thought it should have been the Bucs/Saints game.

Carpetbomb his ass into the red. Tonight of all nights, starting a thread like this--after the flak he already takes for starting Rams threads--is like pissing on a Chiefs "AFCW Champions" t-shirt.

You talkin' about the Queen again? ON INDEPENDENCE DAY?!?!?!!!!111!?!

I think that the Saints could be eliminated from the playoffs before they even play next week. If true, that might have played into the decision.

We just need a huge Rams Fan thread, similar to Knowmo's massive thread.

Nope. Even if the Saints lose to Atlanta they're 10-5 and a game up on the Bucs, Giants, and Packers (all 9-6). The Saints would then have to lose to the Bucs, and even then I don't know what would happen in tiebreakers if the Giants and Packers also finish 10-6 (as all four of them would be 10-6, with only two wildcard spots available).

And just like that, I don't want to bash you for this shit anymore. I'm such a Softie. I'm a closet Seahawks fan, being from Seattle and all, but i'll root for whoever wins that game in the playoffs.

Assuming the Bucs would win, they'd need either the Packers or Giants to lose in order to make the playoffs.

Actually I think it is kinda exciting. Interesting how this division winner can host a playoff game. Pulling for Bradford and co.

Not really man, that's legitimately a playoff game. Not technically, but I mean it's the same exact thing as one. I am glad it's the SNF game.

I'm not.... I wanted it to be under the radar. I do not want Bradford's debut in prime time to be in a hectic crowd like Seattle.

Anyone who travels to Seattle and does anything less than win by 18 is a fucking joke. Sorry bro.

How to do reseeds.

1. Only if the division winner is under .500
2. reseed 4-6 based on record or 3-6 if 3 and 4 are both under 500.

Makes sense. I might have heard the Saints scenario prior to the Giants laying an egg this afternoon, and I never followed up on it.

Follow up: Ok, I had the idea right, but didn't have the particulars:

The primary challenge presented by the selection of a prime-time game for flexing to the last night of the regular season comes from the fact that the night game needs to be relevant regardless of the outcome of any afternoon games.

This year, there’s only one game that falls into that category.

When the Rams travel to Seattle to face the Seahawks on Sunday, the winner will capture the NFC West title and the home playoff game that goes along with it.

It would be great if the Chiefs played the Rams in the SB, but that's just too tall an order.
