View Full Version : Chiefs Will there be a blackout this week?

If so, does it bother you? It seemed odd on Sunday to see the Chiefs fighting for (and ultimately getting) the Division title with such poor attendance. Yes, holiday travel, brutal cold & a bad economy don't help. I get that. But the poor attendance bugs me. Maybe I'm jaded from all the years of home game sellouts. No Arrowhead for old men? :) Hopefully, warmer weather and less holiday travel will translate into a good showing this Sunday.

That said: Playoffs!!!

If there is even a hint at a blackout then KC has a lot of pussies for fans.

RAIDERS WEEK!!!!!

That too. A blackout on Raiders Week (there's a joke in there somewhere) would disrupt the time-space continuum. What would Marty say?

We would find out because he will be in attendance.

Good point. And yet another reason a blackout would suck. Enshrining Marty on the Ring of Fame deserves a sell-out in and of itself.

I just hope he gets to speak to the crowd in more than just saying thank you.

**** no. I wouldn't even think about not going to this game and I hope any fans that were originally going still are. Hearing them introduce the team as the AFC West Champions is gonna be ****ING SWEET!!!!

Edit: The Marty thing also.

Hell, I am going to the game....will be out there in full force. The game better be next to or completely sold out or I will be pissed. We take pride in being the greatest fans in the NFL and we finally have a winner in this town so its time to put up or shut up.

1 full stadium all year, it won't be full this week either. Maybe sold out, but not full.

It's plum mind boggling that Arrowhead has lost it's touch to fill up, it's not the 90's anymore. Granted, the economy and holidays are the current culprits, but the whole year the fans took a wait and see approach with this team after last year.

Here's this year is a start of relieving the good old days when you couldn't hear yourself screaming .

Hmm... Will we rest our starters this week or start them just to kick some Raider ass? The thought of it sounds great but resting up everyone for a playoff win sounds so much more sweater.

Play them all, we want / need the # 3 seed , not the # 4.

Would #3 mean playing the Jets then Patriots?

No. The divisional round is the #1 seed vs the lowest seed and the #2 seed vs the middle seed (of the 4 teams left in the conference). So from the #3 vs #6 game if the #3 wins, they play #2, if the #6 wins they play #1.

If we are #3 and we win, we go to play the #2 seed (Pitt or Bal).

Oh shit... What would we have to do to get the Jets... Anyone besides Baltimore.

If we are #3 and the Jets are #6, or we are #4 and Jets are #5.

For us to be #3: We have to win OR Indy loses. Otherwise we're #4.

For Jets to be #5: Steelers lose, Baltimore wins, Jets win. Otherwise, they #6.

Why?? The team valued money over true fans..
money = increase in pricing and suites to stay competitive on the field
true fans = affordable seats that could be bought by people wanting to watch the team and cheer instead of dressing up so they could be seen at the game..
