No Chiefs defensive player on the Pro Bowl squad is a freaking joke. Tamba Hali, Derrick Johnson and Brandon Flowers strong candidates.

We made the playoffs, he wants to get back in someone's good graces.

DJ is not a candidate. It's rare for 3-4 ILBs to get Pro Bowl nods, so it's not surprising he wouldn't make it. He had a good year, though.

More fuel for the D squad.

DJ is actually an alternate, not sure how far down the list though

Hali - agreed. He should be there without question.

Flowers - I love the guy, but he's not been the same since about week 6. I'm not completely certain that he's been better than Carr this season. I don't see that as a snub.

DJ - Very nice year, extension was deserved and welcomed. However, he did disappear in the middle of the year for a bit and hasn't been a true play-maker in a system that lives and dies by its LBs ability to make plays. Maybe if he holds onto a couple of the 6 or 7 picks that have gone through his hands, he'd have gotten the nod. As it is, I can't complain too loudly over his 'snub'. I don't think I'd have put him in there either.

Hali is the only REAL snub. DJ could have gone had he held on to all of those picks. He should have had literally 4 or 5 pick 6's this season.

Flowers after that Raiders game just got a beat a lot. I know he got injured later, but Carr has actually been the ascending corner through the whole season.

After the dust settled and I took a look at our guys vs the guys who got in..the only snub really is Eric Berry and Hali...you could argue for Cassel also

Berry over who? Polamalu or Reed? Meriweather certainly doesn't deserve it, but there are others more deserving than Berry.

Yes, he's played very well lately, but he's a rookie and has made his share of rookie mistakes. He'll be a Pro Bowler in the future for sure, but certainly not this season.

Didn't Jerod Mayo make the Pro Bowl this season while playing ILB in a 3-4?

I was simply pointing out that it isn't that rare for a 3-4 ILB to make the Pro Bowl. The reason you haven't seen many 3-4 ILBs make it until recently is not many teams used the 3-4 defense in the early to mid 2000s.

I think it is, actually. Look at Pro Bowl history.

For the most part Pro Bowl linebackers are either 3-4 OLBs or 4-3 MLBs.

Griffin/Hope/Berry and Whitner are all better choices than Meriweather

A nice write-up and a kiss on the neck ought to do it.

Ego becomes swagger.

if DJ caught a fifth of his dropped picks, he would be in it for sure.
