At what point during the season did you think ok this team is no fluke and we will win the AFC West. For me it was prolly the Seattle game, to go a tough place like Seattle and dominate the way we did, had be believing Cassel and the Chiefs.

I think that's the game where I stopped complaining so much about how horrible Cassel was.

Directly after we beat the Titans and the Bengals beat the Chargers.

I hopped on the Cassel bandwagon during the Seattle game. That's when I thought we had a real shot at being a playoff team.

"We will win the AFC West" - When Carson Palmer hit that dude on a bomb to put them up 2 scores on the Chargers late in the 4th.

"This team can have a great year" - 49er's game

"This team is really fun to watch" - Jaguars game

"This team is going to be really good in the future, and we have a big window to accomplish great things" - After the opening drive of the Titans game

I believed when I saw the cupcake schedule... that we could win 7 games +.

Winning every game at home so far, has helped as well.

I overreached on my estimation of the defense after the Colts game and was promptly brought back to earth.

I wasn't convinced we'd win the AFCW until we did, and remain wary that the D will be exposed by a good gameplan as it has been numerous times.

As many strides as Cassel has made, neither he nor the O as a whole is ready for a shootout game where the opposing O moves like it did in the SD and Denver games [or the 2003-4 Colts Playoff game].

Started thinking playoffs was a flicker of hope after the 3-0 start and a good showing in Indy.

Started believing in the pioli/haley way after the team bounced back both times they were pummelled this year.......and going on the road and beating Seattle in really was a must win.

I don't man... I looked at the schedule and I saw Berry DJ and Arrowhead and I could see 9-7 and getting in the playoffs especially the way we kicked denvers ace last year

I have to admit I never did believe, and had the Chargers not lost I still wouldn't because I wasn't comfortable with it coming down to the Raider game.

After the Eagles game in the pre-season, I said man our first teams dominated their first teams. Then we did the same to Green Bay. Then I said shit fuck yes, I figured we'd go 10-6 or 11-5, win the West and make the playoffs. People laughed at me. Then watching Cassel play through the first 5 games I was in doubt. Then I noticed he was progressing quite well. Then come the Seattle game I was in full on Cassel for President mode.

When they started the season 3-0. I figured it would only take 9 wins in the weak AFC West and the Chiefs had a very easy schedule.

The Titans game. First drive. Bowe went on a stop and go route on the right. The defense, like myself, was expecting a short dink pass because that's supposed to be Cassel's M.O.... Cassel did a very convincing pump fake, and Bowe did a perfect stop and go. The entire defense bit big time. Good throw, good catch. And it shook the defense up and we were in complete control. I said to myself, "this offense is capable of a great deal more than they were just a mere 8 games ago. We're going to the fucking playoffs."

I believed there was something special after the MNF game! But then the first half of the season I had to keep saying to myself we would be so much better with a QB. I cringed when we kept going for it on 4th down and they gave Castle the ball. ..I believe they gave it to Castle on 4th and goal in Indy and he threw into triple coverage.
The biggest thing this team did this year was not lose 3 in a row. I was worried after the Texans loss, then you had to worry about the debacle in Denver. But this team keeps their head up after a big loss.
I finally have confidence in Cassel now. I'm glad to see him playing well. I just hope Bowe can keep catching the ball!

I have to admit I never did believe, and had the Chargers not lost I still wouldn't because I wasn't comfortable with it coming down to the Raider game.

Exactly this... I was VERY nervous about that... had visions of Chucky hopping around on the sideline. Except, Tom Cable hopping around would be even worse.

Truthfully, I didn't really think we could win the division until after the Titans game. I felt pretty good about our chances to beat the raiders at home this week if it came to that in order to win the division. Until then the chargers and raiders and were more than capable of closing the gap and stealing the division from us.

After the Denver game at Arrowhead. After that game, I remember thinking, "If the Chiefs can win at San Diego next week, they will have a 3 game lead in the division, with 3 games to go. Surely they could win one of those next three."

For me it was after the 3and 0 start. Our schedule was favorable. If we can avoid the injury bug to any of the key players I like our chances in the playoffs. Wasn't a Cassel fan until about the Seattle game and now I'm glad he's a Chief. Give him some help at wr and ol and strengthen the middle of our defense and the Chief's could be pretty damn salty in the AFC for a while.
