I was listening to NFL Sirius this morning and a caller asked about the Charlie Weis situation. One of the hosts remarked bluntly that "Weis is selfish! And what an asinine thing to do when your team is heading into the playoffs."

But, what I found interesting is this...they talked about potential replacements for Charlie Weis and the same host said, "JOSH MCDANIELS!" LMAO

Wow...I can't see that ever happening. He was serious about saying McDaniels and Haley would be a good match.

Yea that'll work, after the "finger pointing incident".

I would be absolutely shocked if McDaniels was hired as OC.

Gunther Cunningham's not coming back to KC. There's no way.

The pieces fit. If we just get past the little snub job. I don't know that I would be thrilled, but I just don't want Haley back holding the reins. Cassel seemed to work nicely under mcdaniels.

Marty Schottenheimer will never work for Daniel Snyder

I'd actually like to be wrong...but I don't see this happening. Sirianni/Haley will call plays next year.

Looks like they did reconcile on the field by the second game, and besides, Pioli is here to build a Super Bowl team, Mc Daniels was the one who brought Cassel to NE and taught him. He learned from Weis it would be the easiest transition for the Offense to a new Coordinator. Pioli may just tell Haley "work it out", for the team and a title. I'm not a fan but it makes sense.

But what if he promised to curse & scream a lot?

What if he threatened to go onto the field himself & whip the dogshit outta some opposing player he doesnt like?

I wouldn't mind seeing Sirianni as the OC next year. You'd certainly have continuity. I'd much rather see that than have Haley be his own OC next year (even if Sirianni is just a rookie OC and Haley's puppet).

What Haley is doing seems to be working, despite yesterday's blowout loss. Why bring in McFistpump and risk fucking up the chemistry of the team?

The only way I could see them bringing in Mcd would be on a one-year deal to help him resurrect his career by doing what he does best (like Weis) and give Sirianni one more year of grooming. If it's known to be a one year deal, then everyone knows the deal...and Haley can continue to call 15-20 plays a game with Sirianni adding to the mix as well. If they think Sirianni isn't up to the task yet, then this would make sense.

I think the odds are pretty good that McDaniels will get another head coaching job in the NFL, but this time, with little input on player personnel.
