Let alone the right 53.

Uhmm.. just to clarify, was that the right 53 trillion forty-two, or the right 530 trillion and forty-two. Misplaced comma has got me all confused.

Of course, if you are a brit that would probabaly be 53 million million or something... stupid brits don't understand english and counting. Oh, is this Young fellow a brit by chance?

If Bud Adams keeps Fisher it's proof he has fully lost his mind. Fisher is living off of one Super Bowl trip and a few playoff trips. The Titans now remind me of the Chiefs at the end of Carl's run, living on past glory and a fan base that will always sell out the stadium.

Not defending VY but it never seemed like he had a fair shake with Fisher.

Great?

Not really.

He wasn't bad, but like DeBerg said, highly overrated.

What is it again?

6 playoff teams in 16 years?

That actually doesn't rate as highly as mediocre.

I still think Fisher is a good coach. His problem is his loyalty to Adams. He should have bailed on that senile old tightwad a long time ago. The Tacks never give Fisher any talent worth a crap, or if they accidentally do, they never keep them around.

In my opinion, he gets more out of less than any coach I've ever watched.

Is Jerry Sloan a bad basketball coach?

No, he's not... but thats a tough question, is Phil Jackson the greatest ever just because he's been fortunate enough to coach some of the greatest ever? How many faulty plans have they concocted that Stockton to Malone & Pippen to Jordan didnt bail them out of?

IMHO, Fisher is a glorified John Fox... loves his run game & tough defense, but cant put together a top shelf passing game to save his life.

This is exactly right. Fisher only got 6 winning seasons in almost 2 decades of coaching. If you take out Vince Young's games, Fisher is barely over .500 for his career. And despite VY's winning, Fisher never gave him a chance, constantly undermining him even when he was doing well.

If he's looking to rebuild his image and career, and is will to go to a solid team to be a backup, I'd love it if Belichick took a flier on this guy. As a backup, he'd scare the shit out of opposing teams because his style of play is so different from the Brady/Manning types that they'd have to prepare for him on the off chance the starter goes down. Let's face it, when it comes to backup QBs, he's probably an upgrade over any #2 out there.

Good. VY is uncoachable.

He was also 30-17 as a starter for a coach that was always looking for a reason to quit on him. Fisher made it clear from the start that Young wasn't his pick and Young wasn't his guy. He all but admitted that anytime Young played, it was because Adams said he had to.

If you got jerked around by your boss the way this guy does, would you be really eager to listen to him? I don't think the kid's uncoachable, I think he's a different animal that is going to be somewhat high maintenance until he feels completely trusted. That doesn't make him uncoachable, it simply requires a different approach to unlock talent.

The Titans should've kept the QB that won games for them rather than the coach that needed an 8-2 streak after Young took over as QB last season to save his own job.

They'll slide even further into irrelevance next year, IMO. Hopefully Gabbert doesn't end up in Tennessee now, I'd be pretty bummed out to see the kid get butt****ed by a coach that lost his fastball almost a decade ago.

That team has some solid young talent at the skill positions. If you get further development out of Damian Williams as a slot WR, Kenny Britt as your possession and RZ target, and Jared Cook as a TE who creates matchup problems, while sprinkling in Gage and Washington, and a really good LT in Roos, you have a good foundation for a young QB.

That would be a good landing spot for Gabbert, but only if Fisher trusts him, as Collins could take a piss pounding for the first 8-10 weeks, then Gabbert could start to get reps.

That defense has some young player with ability, but they need a nose tackle to help stop the run, and they need a true lockdown corner.

Granted, we're 4 months away, but I read McShay yesterday, and he has Gabbert as a Top 5 pick - going to Arizona.

I don't get all the critical acclaim for Fisher. Analysts love him, but he has won the division only 4 times in 17 years. Plus, they are the dirtiest team in the NFL and have been for some time. I don't get all the respect.
