What about another Big East WR, Torrey Smith, that will be there when the Chiefs pick?

Good size, 6'1" 205 lbs, but has something the other Chiefs WRs are missing, speed!

He is also an excellent return man... can't have too many of them.

I honestly don't see the Chiefs going with a receiver in the 1st anymore. I originally thought that Baldwin would have been their first choice. However, Baldwin doesn't get seperation at the college level and even with Blackmon and Floyd going back to college he'll probably drop to the early 2nd. My money's on OLB/trade down now. Ofcourse that's assuming no one falls like Rogers.

Big name WR's in this draft:
Julio Jones
AJ Green
Jonathan Baldwin

The next tier of WR's you have:
Leonard Hankerson
Titus Young
Austin Pettis
Ronald Johnson
I also really like Dane Sanzenbacher from OSU, he is a really good slot receiver, I liken him to Anthony Gonzalez and Brian Hartline from OSU. He can go across the middle, is pretty fast, runs great routes, and has very good hands.

Pittsburgh kid?

The Pittsburgh kid is considered a top ten talent by some, I believe he will be there when we pick though. He is a very very good WR. With Blackmon, Broyles, and Floyd staying that really hurt this class.

Draft decisions decimated this class. It's pretty incredible. I think we go with Paea (nt) at this point. Very piolish w/ the wilfork and warren picks.

Paea is a little light for Nose tackle.

Cool moves, though he seems like an asshole; reminds me a little of Dwayne Jarrett when he was at USC. I'm not so sure that's a "Pioli" guy.

I'm hoping that some agent buys AJ Green a double cheeseburger at mcdonalds and he drops in the draft to us because of it.

Four minutes to show just 4 receptions.

2009 was his first year at WR (converted HB). He was suspended with Quinn and others this year for taking benefits from an agent.

Probably not a character guy, but for a 1st year receiver he showed some really good playmaker skills. I'd hate to miss out on another potential Williams (TB) because of character concerns.

A significant number of the big time WRs in the NFL were mid to low draft picks(ala Colston etc....). I'm not worried about WR as much as I am our "trenches" and LB situation.

Jeff Fuller is staying at A&M. Not sure what his draft status would have been since he lacks elite speed but he's probably A&M's best WR ever. He's big and has like 2200 yards and 28 TDs in three seasons

Haley's forte is the WR pos so my guess is we will get a diamond in the rough between the 5th & 7th rnds IMO.

If we don't have a WR by round 3, I highly doubt we bother drafting one and just look to FA WR's.

Like Terrance Copper that he HAD to have in Dallas? or Quinton Lawrence?

I refuse to believe we will ignore WR this year, the position is that bad. One of our first 3 picks will be a WR.

I can't believe nobody has mentioned Alshon Jeffery, South Carolina. 6'4" 230. Dude's a beast.

Edit: If he declares.

Another Big, Strong run after the catch guy is what Cassel need IMO. His strength is not the deep ball, so RAC guys are best suited for our offense as opposed to a burner. You can land a field stretching burner in later rounds, and I actually believe that's what they will go after, and leave room for Fitz when we get him.

The only reason I'm kind of leaning away from a WR in the first is because I know Fitz is going to be acquired as soon as it is possible.

If Julio Jones fits the profile, isn't hip hop, etc he'll be our pick.

huh?

Pretty sure everyone on our team likes hip hop music. I think Dorsey even puts out his own rap songs.

Who is Jones college coach? That should answer if he fits the profile.

I like Julio a lot, but he's hurt way too much.

I'm very much on board with grabbing a FA WR, and getting a pass rusher/NT with our first 2 picks.
