You'd think that he'd want to go to a contender instead.

It all depends on what happens March 4. If there's a lockout, obviously none of this matters. Also, I just read somewhere that even if the lockout were to end at some point close to the season, there won't be any free agents. They'll be stuck where they're at.

Vittorio twitter: Nnamdi #Asomugha, in Bristol today and all over ESPN and ESPN Radio, just said there's "a good chance" he's back with #Raiders next season

I think the Texans should make a run at him.

They could contend if they got some decent defensive players, especially secondary.

You really think he would sign back with the Raiders? Out of all the teams to sign with in the NFL and you really think he is going to sign another contract with the Oakland Raiders? ROFL

They are talking about it here in San Diego. All over the radio.
The talk is bring in Nnamdi and they would move Jammer to safety.

Meh...

I will take our secondary with another season under their belt and if they can get help from the front 7 applying pressure on the qb...

Raiders or Chargers....we would still see him twice a year...

I bet this kind of thing pisses Vincent Jackson and Marcus McNeil off to no end.

If I was either player, I would be pissed to see AJ not want to work with me on a new deal when I earned it but is willing to spend big money on a shiny new player from another team.

Jammer is too small to play safety IMO.

Really?

Eric Berry, 6', 211.
Kendrick Lewis, 6', 198.
Ed Reed, 5'11", 200.

Jammer, 6', 204.

Stick to what you know.

What is that anyway?

I could care less where he goes as long as it's far far away. He is too damn good and likable to be a raider anyway

IIRC, Asomugha's pretty connected in the Bay Area. He'll likely stay in Oakland. Crazy game they're playing with his contract, though.

Maybe jumps over the bay and gives SF a small discount on his services?

That would make them disgusting on D.

He aint going to the Chargers, that is just silly. The issue with him is Peyton Manning/Tom Brady type money for a DB~

They are talking about it in Houston too. All 4 sports radio stations.

doesn't mean it will happen.

Thread title should read: a shitload of teams targeting Asomugha, including Chargers.

Doesn't matter, as long as they've got Norv. I wonder if another team has ever finished the season with the #1 O and #1 D and failed to even make the playoffs ???
