Are those batteries any better than the Rayovac or Energizer rechargeables?

This won't be a highly informative or useful answer, but when I was researching rechargeables years ago, the Eneloop were considered the best. So honestly, I don't know how they compare now.

I can say that I'm only buying more because I have more things to power. I've still got a pair that I've used in my 360 controller since 2006, and they seem to hold a charge the same amount as they always have.

I'm sure at this point there's not too much variance from brand to brand, but I stick with the Eneloop.

I have been using Energizer and rayovac for a few years but they seem to burn out after a year of use. I don't know if it is because I use one of those energizer fast chargers or if they are just not that good.

Eneloop's are much better than the standard rechargeable batteries. Over time, rechargeable batteries slowly lose their charging capacity. Eneloops hold a higher charge for a lot longer than most rechargeable batteries.
