Car Warranty?

Looking at buying a 2007 Chevy Silverado ext cab 4x4. 42k miles. It's power train warranty runs out 10/28/11. Opinions on if I should buy an extended power train warranty on it? Will there be a better option than from the dealer? Thanks

I'm not an expert but it in my experience with owning American cars you're buying it at the end of it's reliable lifespan.
