I've been to the one near San Antonio Texas in 2004 & I tell you it kicked ass. This park is now opening in Kansas City this summer and looks like it wont be disapointing. Over the years they are going to add more to it and more to City with a river walk. schlittebahn.com
This is a must and can't wait.

. ..Schlitterbahn Kansas City Waterpark will plunge into its 2011 season with a more than $5 million expansion, according to construction permit information provided by the Unified Government of Wyandotte County/Kansas City, Kan. The growth will create as many as 100 jobs.
The water park had announced plans in October to more than double its size with six new attractions — including a mile-long rapids river, three new slides and a simulated surf ride — but it didn’t release the estimated cost. Plans for the park’s so-called phase two expansion also call for a white-water tube chute and a ride-up Aqua Veyer to eliminate wait times and climbing up stairs, said Chris Ozimek, local marketing director for Schlitterbahn.
Ozimek said the expansion will involve hiring between 75 and 100 new seasonal employees, primarily ride operators.
KCK Construction, based in Kansas City, Kan., will oversee the construction and hire an unspecified number of workers from the local labor force, Ozimek said. Schlitterbahn hopes to have the expansion completed in time for the 2011 season kickoff on May 21, but Ozimek admitted winter weather delays could be a factor.
“We are aiming for opening day,” Ozimek said.
The price tag for the fully completed water park — including a third phase featuring a hotel and indoor water park — is estimated at $750 million.
