Go to the 8:45 mark for some Cassel Magic... and remember you never lose a game because of an incomplete pass...

I hate all the offseason Cassel pumping from every media outlet under the sun.

The guy hasn't arrived yet. He could washout of the league within 5 years.

Whether that warrants gushing offseason stories like this one is another thing.

Scott Mitchell once threw for 32 TD and 4400 yards.

It's not out of the question that Cassel crashes and burns. To date the majority of his career is based on dominating the NFC West.

It's not out of the question that Cassel crashes and burns. To date the majority of his career is based on dominating the NFC West.First of all, Mitchell threw for 4,338 yards that year. That's much closer to 4300 than 4400.

And yeah, he had Barry Sanders; we have Charles and Jones, yadda yadda. The comparisons are still there, but Cassel showed some balls and leadership this season even with his scrappy play. With another good season Cassel will have FAR surpassed Mitchell/Johnson.

That being said, the Chiefs still need to draft a QB. They need to draft one now and they need to keep drafting them until we find the real guy for this team.

I agree with the idea that he'll silence most of his critics with another good season.

Just don't see any merit in crowning his ass just yet.
