My top 11 KC prospects, pre-combine,

1. Gabbert - you need a franchise QB.
2. Newton - see #1
3. AJ Green - could make Cassel a non alternate pro bowl qb.
4. Fairley - Not the best fit for a 34, but the guy is a beast. I hope Denver doesn't take him.
5. Quinn - convert him to OLB.
6. Peterson - CB not the biggest need, but the kid is a top talent. You could potentially man him up like the Jets do Revis.
7. Von Miller
8. A. Smith (convert to OLB)
9. Corey Liuget (assuming he weighs in 310+, I'd try him at NT).
10. Gabe Carimi - IMHO, he could be one of the best RT's in the NFL and if his footwork improves, he could unseat Albert at LT.
11. Julio Jones

The Chiefs are not drafting a QB. People need to just get over it already.

Most of those players will be long gone before the Chiefs draft.

It's my own personal board of who I think they should take, not who I think they will take.

It doesn't make sense to make a board of who you think a team should take when it wont be possible for the team to take most of the guys on the list.

To be fair, that's exactly what a big board is for.

So in the event someone drops, your are prepared to make a decision on them.

Let him get his big board to 21, then at least one of those dudes will still be on it. :)

Now that I can agree with.

It can also be useless. For instance, I could have created the following big board for the Chiefs in 1998:

1. Peyton Manning
2. Charles Woodson
3. Fred Taylor
4. Kyle Turley
5. Andre Wadsworth
6. Grant Wistrom
7. Keith Brooking
8. Takeo Spikes
9. Curtis Enis
10. Duane Starks
11. Greg Ellis

They were all gone by pick 13. Chiefs picked 27th. Useless.

One guy I like for the Chiefs is Arkansas OL Ray Dominguez, who is a much better player and prospect than Demarcus Love.

Ray was "mostly" the ORT in a S/W OL rotation, and really is pretty natural there. The kid is athletic and bends, experienced at ORT, and a good trainer could easily push 20-30 pounds off Ray.

OK, OK, he's from Arkansas, but he is not Matt Jones, Batman Carroll, or Mallett. In fact, he actually did something in a classroom too...

The kid is a good under the radar later pick who is likely a better ORT than O'Call and the rest ya got here...

Gabbert to KC would be a good fit. Also both the HC and the QB sporting mulletts would be good TV.

Why do you not have Ryan Leaf of Washington State on there? He's got a cannon for an arm.

He wouldn't fit in the right 53. ;)

I agree, it would be better than watching John Fox go 1-15 again. :p

I'll wager a one month ban that at least 1 of the guys in my top 11 fall to KC's pick. Are you game?

At 21, Kansas City would probably have these two from your list to pick from.

1 guy? No.

I see Gabbert, Newton, Green, Fairley, Quinn, Peterson, Miller, Smith and Jones all gone before #21.

It's very possible, and likely, that Liuget and Carimi will be there.

I wouldnt object to that pick even at his current weight.

Our big board should read:

1) Von Miller
2) Aldon Smith
3) Justin Houstin
4) Phil Taylor
*I'm a big fan of Phil Taylor in the first, his presence alone could elevate the linebacker performance in a downhill sense

Should be all defensive tackles and linebackers. I don't trust drafting WR's round 1 plus you can always find productive WR's later in the draft
