Rain Man
03-07-2011, 10:56 AM
Per this thread http://www.chiefsplanet.com/BB/showthread.php?t=242327&page=4, we are adding nine songs to the competition.

So...when I post the upcoming epic poll, pick nine songs out of the fifty. Top nine votegetters will get sprinkled randomly into the remaining first-round heats, and a 35th heat will be added.

On your mark, get set, wait for the poll.

How is Neil Diamond not in the lead? It's a classic. Everyone knows the words, everyone has sung along at some point in their life. Neil is cooler than Charlie Sheen, Chuck Norris and a 100 Ninjas combined.

It's Neil Diamond.

Everyone knows the words and has sung along to 'YMCA' at some point as well, doesn't mean it has any merit.

You know what Neil just did? He just kicked the crap out of the entire RATM band; and he did it in his bathrobe.

Thanks for including ky Rush songs Mr. Rain Man. Working Man is getting some votes as it should. Debut album for a young trio that is trying to emulate the great Led Zeplin and does a pretty Damn good job of it. Great example of the 70's 8 minute musical odyssey that was so popular at the time.

I knew this was a throwaway pick, but I had to get some Muse credit in here:

Takes about 30 seconds before it picks up.

Is it not obvious?

Charlie Sheen = Winning
Neil Diamond = Not Winning

Chuck Norris = He doesn't flush the toilet; he scares the s*** out of it.
Neil Diamond = He tried to use the Chuck Norris brand of toilet paper, but it wouldn't take s*** from anybody.

100 Ninjas = Silent but deadly (like certain fresh farts)
Neil Diamond = Noisy and stanky (like most old farts)

MC5 not advancing to the next round = This poll is shit.

If you know Rocket Reducer No. 62 and you didn't vote for it your lack of taste is insufferable. I hope you get the piles and rickets and scabies and shingles and legionnaires disease and leprosy and ebola and DON'T die. Just live in misery and pick your scabs and hack and cough and vomit blood and undergo great pain and anal itching all the while cursing the fates for your woeful lack of discernment.

If you don't know Rocket Reducer No. 62 you don't deserve a vote in the rock'nroll poll and you should have stayed the hell away 'cause you don't know shit rock'nrollwise.
