Holding in your farts/poop can lead to things such as diverticulitis. Definitely sounds worth it, huh?

It puts quite a bit of pressure from your colon, through the large intestine and onward into the smaller intestine. Not really advisable unless you would like to deal with abdominal pain on a daily basis until a doctor decides to take out the affected intestinal tissue with surgery.
