Definitely depends on what you want to do. I've stayed on the Plaza, near the Plaza, downtown, and in nearby cities. I'll probably be looking for something cheap. I'm just going to be up there for one night. Possibly driving home after the game. Depends. I typically stay at the Super 8 just off 435 in Overland Park. Small but nice and in a decent neighborhood.

I think the casino hotels are fairly expensive unless you gamble a lot and have a rewards card.

I found a 3-star room on hotwire near the stadium for $87. I haven't booked yet, and I don't find out where it is until after I book it if I use that site.

I have a feeling (by looking at the star ratings on hotels.com), that the hotel on hotwire.com is the Clarion across the street from the stadium. I've been in there. Indoor pool, hot tub, spa (I call it the sweat room...lol), and workout room. I don't plan on swimming or anything, but I thought I'd let you know, since you're staying longer. It's $13 more on hotels.com, so not a lot of savings there.
