Gimme Shelter with an early lead, but I expect Dirty Deeds to have the most votes in the end...

Gimme Shelter, Heart Shaped Box and the backward version of Going to California. By the way, this tournament has made me hate AC/DC. :thumb:

Comin' to California, is that a new one from Led Zeppelin?

Huh. (Leafing through Led Zeppelin computer printout.)

I blame whoever nominated the song. Half the people around here don't know if they're coming or going anyway.

My listens:

Dirty Deeds (done dirt cheap), AC/DC - Fine bubble-gum rock. Worth a #3 vote in this heat, but I hope it doesn't make it any further.

Gimme Shelter, Rolling Stones - I have no idea why this song is popular. I find it boring.

Pain Train, The Guess Who - Not horrible, but not worthy of a vote.

Heart Shaped Box, Nirvana - Seemed fine, but the lyrics were trying too hard to be mysterious. Not worth a vote.

The Day The Earth Caught Fire, Cityboy - I probably would've loved this song when I was 14. Now, not so much.

Coming or Going to California, Led Zeppelin - That's a pretty darn good song. Worth a #2 vote. I'm learning in this tournament that I like Led Zeppelin.

One of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later), Bob Dylan - Sounded just like a lot of Dylan songs. Not his best work.

Good Riddance (Time of Your Life), Green Day - Awesome song. #1 in this heat, absolutely. It makes me feel thoughtful.

That's letting them off easy...Sledgehammer to the balls followed by a rabid Rottweiler eating the remaining testicle pudding sounds about right.

And anybody voting suckage deserves worse

Seriously, what do you see in that song? It's like elevator music to me.

I'm guessing you didn't watch the video or it would've changed your mind and melted in your soul. All of the lyrics made perfect since. No mystery.

The opening is awesome, very mystical, it just grabs me and doesn't let go. Far and away my favorite Stones song.

Dirty Deeds - I'm an AC/DC fan and I don't think this one should move on.

Gimme Shelter - Probably my second favorite Rolling Stones song behind Sympathy for the Devil. It gets a vote from me.

Pain Train - Too repetitive and plodding for me.

Heart Shaped Box - I don't know what this song is about, but I always liked the lyric "I wish I could eat your cancer when you turn black" for some reason. Good mix of quiet and loud. Nirvana gets my vote.

The Day The Earth Caught Fire - I guess City Boy is the 70s version of Scissor Sisters. This song didn't do anything for me.

Going to California - I never liked this song. Maybe if I were high, it would sound better.

One of Us Must Know (Sooner or Later) - This guy's voice is really raspy.

Good Riddance (Time of Your Life) - Not my favorite Green Day song, but good enough to get a vote here.

If this was a professional wrestling match, it would be a match for the ages. Every time I look, the third place spot has changed between Zeppelin and Nirvana.

Zeppelin being the smarter choice, of course.

Yes. But first, I'm going to go out on a limb and guess drugs.

Almost.

It's about Vagina. Kurt said it was about the Female's Private Parts, then years later Courtney Love claimed it was about her Vagina. Kurt spent three or four days in his closet writing this song.

So trying listening to it one more time thinking about Courtney Love's Vagina and come back and tell me if you like it now.

I'll also give 6 dollars casino cash to support all nirvana songs.

Seems that I recall folks saying way back when that the lyrics also involved Kurts jealousy over Courtneysluts previous fling with Billy Corgan. Sumthin about her havin a heart shaped box full of old love notes from Corgan and him being a Pisces. I dunno just seems to ring a bell, the kind of shit people would talk about right after they told you how marylin manson had ribs removed so he could suck his own dick.

That gossip and shit was alot cooler back then. Now it's all about Justin Beiber getting his hair cut and Lady Gaga's penis.

I have a kurdt tattoo from the teenage days, but I was way after he offed himself.

I can relate kinda. I vividly recall goin to sunday school and watching the youth minister try to keep the topic biblical whilst all the kids bemoaned kurdts suicide.

"He was a poet man". "Makes me wanna just join him dude". "Holy fuck did you see what Amber is wearing today?" "Shit yeah man she is so hot did you hear Eli fingered her last week at youth for christ?" "Dude I totally smelled his fingers afterwords, and really man my parents just don't even understand the pain I feel about that Nirvana guy". "Those Doc's totally rule brah"
