Tough call. Tough to beat the NCAA tournament for just mass insanity taking place all over the country at the same time. I'd definitely put playoff hockey a close third. It doesn't have the one game and you're done excitement. But, there's nothing else that really compares to sudden death OT playoff hockey. Mainly because it's sudden death and everything can change on a dime, the tension is constant. Even in football you usually know a team is about to score/be in FG range.

I don't even have a favorite Hockey Team but the Stanley Cup Playoffs are about 600x better than the 3 month long NBA Playoffs.

One thing I like about MLB are the 1 game playoffs. If the Padres had beaten the Giants in the last game of the season, the Giants would have had to been in San Diego for a 1 game playoff and then Atlanta. That would've been awesome.

No, because the NBA and the NHL have very similar playoff formats, with several teams involved.

Yeah, I like the NBA... but the sudden death format of the NHL gives it a clear edge and makes a clear difference. Granted every game doesn't go to OT... but really any close game late is on a knife edge with every scoring chance. Just the nature of the game. You don't get that in the NBA until the last 2 minutes of the game.

I personally chose the NFL playoffs for the following reasons:

1. I'm more entertained by football than basketball.
2. There's no subjectivity in who is in the playoffs. (although I can't think of a "bubble" team that didn't get in that would have been a contender for the title.)
3. My NCAA team is awful.

I'm certainly not hating on the NCAA Tournament, though. It's very entertaining.

Hockey playoffs > NBA playoffs > NFL playoffs > MLB playoffs

And NOTHING compares to March Madness. The NBA playoffs interest me more than the NFL because they last longer and there's much more to be interested about, I'm not saying the NFL playoffs aren't awesome because they are. I think the MLB playoffs are amazing and they're last on my list.

Yeah but honestly who doesn't like March Madness? I know a ton of people who I have heard say they love the hockey playoffs and they probably don't like hockey much at all...so I doubt there's many sports fans who don't love March madness.

The reason I didn't is because nobody would fucking pick those. I didn't feel like thinking of all of the tourneys when I could just put Other and about 3 people might vote for other.

I guess that's true. Even being an NFL board, I'm surprised more than 20% of the votes are for the NFL playoffs. March Madness = Greatness

I think the Hockey playoffs are the most exciting. Bad bounce or mishandled puck and the game is over. You throw the ball away in the other sports you don't lose the game.
