Pink Floyd for sure. Then Uriah Heep, just 'cuz. Then "Rock Around the Clock" for the Hell of it.

Wish You Were Here, Pink Floyd - Pink Floyd doesn't get much better than this. It might be the 2nd best song in this heat, but unfortunately, it's not good enough to get my vote.

Don't Misunderstand Me, Rossington Collins Band - Good southern rock song.

Black, Pearl Jam - I'm not a PJ fan to begin with and this song isn't one of my favorites of theirs. They put on a pretty good show though (if you can deal with Eddie's political statements), I'll give them that.

Not Anymore, The Deadboys - Love the genre. I'm a sucker for a good old-fashioned punk rock song, but not enough of a sucker to cast a vote here.

Romeo and Juliet, Indigo Girls - Better than a Bob Dylan song, I guess. In fact, I bet I'd like most of Dylan's songs better if he got the Indigo Girls to sing them.

Stealin', Uriah Heep - I hope FAX and Nzoner will love me for my 3rd vote here. Great rock classic.

It's Not Love, Dokken - This song was always one of my hair band favorites so it gets my 2nd vote.

Rock Around the Clock, Bill Haley - This is a no-brainer for me. This song is the early definition of RnR as far as I'm concerned. #1 vote.

Rock Around The Clock - Bill Haley is essentially the father of Rock and Roll.
Wish You Were Here - Great Song.
Romeo & Juliet - I love the Dire Straits version. Never heard the Indigo Girls version, but I voted for it as an homage to Dire Straits.

Check out Romeo and Juliet. It's a great song, and one where I think the Indigo Girls cover is better than the original.

Wish You Were Here, Pink Floyd - That's a pretty darn good song. I'm not familiar with Pink Floyd, but this is a winner. #2 vote.

Don't Misunderstand Me, Rossington Collins Band - I'm not into songs that are primarily guitar jamming. No offense.

Black, Pearl Jam - What the hell? What was that? This has to be the worst song in the entire tournament. It was like that video of the newscaster who had a stroke while she was reporting.

Not Anymore, The Deadboys - If this song had been listed above the Pearl Jam one, these two reviews would have been reversed.

Romeo and Juliet, Indigo Girls' remake of Dire Straits song - Great song, great performance. #1 vote by a mile.

Stealin', Uriah Heep - Decent song. I have nothing against it. I have no vote for it, though.

It's Not Love, Dokken - It ranks above Black and Not Anymore. Definitely above those two.

Rock Around the Clock, Bill Haley - I'm not a huge fan of this song and think it pales next to contemporaries like Johnny B. Goode and Keep A Knockin', but it gets my #3 vote in this heat.

Black is in third place? Black?!?! When I played it my cat jumped off the couch and started looking for the injured animal he was hearing.

If you want a Pearl Jam recommendation, I recommend listening to something else.

Pearl Jam got robbed in this thing. No Alive, Even Flow, Animal, World Wide Suicide, Do the Evolution, Given to Fly, State of Love & Trust, etc....

Black is nowhere near their best song. It's not even one of their better slow songs.

I sure hope it's nowhere near their best song.

I heard a Pearl Jam song on my background muzak at home the other day and really liked it. I didn't catch the title, and I was hoping it was this song. It wasn't.

Dude....

Well, it's not really muzak. It's those music stations on the TV. I didn't know what to call it.

It's disappointing to me knowing that even if I achieve a more evolved state someday, I'll still be eating working class food like corned beef and cabbage. :)

Hilarious video though.
