I liked DA, he actually made Grbac look good. Ran some of the best routes on play-action that I can remember. Probably a top 3 all-time Chiefs WR.

What about Hasty? Or was that after Marty?

That honor belongs to Dan Saleaumua.

First runner up:

Kimble Anders.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Kindle Anders was a better WR than Dan Saleamua.

My bad, I didn't catch the WR designation in the topic. But Saleamua, IMO, is the best free agent we have EVER signed.

And no, "Kindle" Anders was not as good as DS in any football position.

Taylor, Bowe, Paige, Carson, Kennison and Buford (didn't see him play) were all better in their years with the Chiefs.

Marshall too.

Marshall too.

I loved Marshall and originally put him on my list. When I looked at per game and per year production I pulled him off my list (trying to be objective). But I definitely liked Marshall as a player much better than Alexander.

No, he's not.

Priest Holmes is the best FA we ever signed.

I was reading this thread waiting to see how long it would take the planet to remember Priest.

I didn't hate DA, but there's really no reason for a thread to be started about the guy ball washing him.

Thread was made as a joke.

Heres my real take on DA. Decent WR, had a gift for making the spectacular catch or play..would routinely disappear or drop easy catches. Was a big time "garbage time stats" player.

I was at that Chicago game. That was in 1999, right before the Bears starting being good on a consistant basis. We had two big plays that day - the Alexander one, and Donnie Edwards returning a fumble like 90 yards for a touchdown. We lost the game, and afterward, Bears fan literally had no idea how to gloat, like they were shocked to have actually won the game. Heh.

I can't argue with that. Somehow he skipped my mind. Chalk it up to senility. ;)

This, totally. I liked DA enough too, btw.
