"Back in the USSR," "Johnny B. Goode" and "Gimmie Shelter" earn my votes.

My rankings:

Johnny B. Goode, Chuck Berry - This song barely made the second round, but I think it's a classic. #1 for this fan of rock and roll.

Smokin', Boston - Not sure if I like this or More than a Feeling better, but this one rocks more. #2 vote.

More Than A Feeling, Boston - Could easily be #2, but I'm putting it at #3.

Back in the USSR, the Beatles - Decent song, but a fair bit below the #3 song.

Werewolves Of London, Warren Zevon - I can't believe I'm ranking this as high as 5th.

Gimme Shelter, Rolling Stones - Maybe if Guns N Roses covered it I'd like it better.

Battery, Metallica - This stuff just isn't my cup of tea.

Dr. Feelgood, Motley Crue - What would you do to party with Motley Crue? In my case, not much.

Holy cow. 14 votes so far, and suckage is in the lead. In the second round, suckage is leading?

Beatles, Stones, Warren Zevon

I sincerely hope this is the last fucking thread I have to endure a Boston offering....

..without a doubt the most overrated bands of the rock era.

You'll have one more opportunity this round to judge one of the best bands of the rock era.

#1 Rolling Stones, Gimme Shelter
#2 Boston, More Than A Feeling
#3 Warren Zevon, Werewolves of London

There are several Motley Crue songs that could have cracked my top 3 here, and I wanted them to advance but I just couldn't do it with Dr. Feelgood.

I'm starting to worry about Boston, but I'm delighted to see Johnny B. Goode doing well. Johnny B. Goode is the cause I'm trumpeting in this heat.

I don't mean to be overly cruel, but...Brad Delp set the standard for which other members of Boston should strive for.

Can't have Marty McFly fade away in his picture...

That'd better not knock Johnny B. Goode out, or you're in big trouble.

Johnny, Werewolves, Gimme Shelter and it shouldn't even be close. I can see the USSR being in the mix just because it's the Beatles. I'm amazed at how many votes Boston has.

I chose:

Gimmie Shelter....undisputed classic...should be a no brainer top 5 rock song.

Johnny B Goode: Classic, Groundbreaking rock song

Battery: Pure rage, aggression.....pure brilliance.

That's what Marty McFly thought at the Enchantment Under the Sea dance as well.

Yes. That song is more than a feeling for me. You know, every song to which I have enjoyed oral pleasure vaults to the top of my voting priority and I refuse to apologize for a stirring in my pants no matter how awful the music which invoked that particular memory.

When nerds make music, you get Boston. We just do everything well. I voted for MTAF, but not Smokin'.

Gimme and Werewolves get my other two votes.

Shuttin' 'er down. Moving on are:

Gimme Shelter
More than a Feeling
Johnny B. Goode

Interestingly, Johnny B. Goode was the last heat-filler song coming into the second round. It didn't finish in the top three in Round 1, barely losing out to Born in the USA, Layla, and You Shook Me All Night Long. And now it's moving to the third round. Yay, Johnny B. Goode!
