Since CasinoPlanet is pretty dead now, thought this would be a good thread with the season starting tomorrow.

If you've had your drafts, post the scoring format and your rosters. This could be a great comparison tool for people who are new to FB.

I am pretty pleased with the keepers and this draft I had. Waited on C until the last round, but IMO taking a C early is a bad move unless a good one falls 3-4 rounds. I have two front line high K starters and guys plenty solid and with upside for the most part in my others SP. I honestly don't think I could have hoped for much better bats in my starting lineup. Obviously I don't have much depth of position players but I personally would much rather have pitching depth early in the season than position players.

One more draft to go tonight as it was postponed last weekend. I don't foresee that draft going quite as well, my keepers are not as solid.

I only do keeper leagues anymore. I'm in the 4th season of what's actually a very competitive keeper league at work, 7x7 head to head. Over the last few years I've just nailed every speculative pick I've made - I believe I've assembled the best FBB I've ever had:

C: Soto
1b: Pujols
2b: Utley, (A. Hill until Chase is back)
SS: Tulowitzki
3b: Wright
OF: J. Hamilton, J. Heyward, B. Gardner, J. Pierre
Util: Votto

BN: C. Lee, Infante

SP: Lincecum, Latos, Billingsley, Nolasco, Volzquez, E. Jackson, Strasburg (love him for 2012), Peavy, Lackey, Zambrano

RP: Soria, Bell, Feliz, Contreras

That offense is insanely strong - there's just not a weakness in it. With Pujols, Votto, Wright, Tulo and Hammy, that's 5 potential 1st rounders (and Utley will be at that level by the playoffs). That team should never win fewer than 5 offensive categories in a given week. The pitching is very good though I may deal Strasburg for a mid-season reinforcement as I feel I may be 1 top of the rotation guy away from nigh on unbeatable. The relief staff is absolutely nails.

I really didn't make any spec picks this season because I'm set up so well, but I'd advise folks to keep a very close eye on Mitch Moreland. I get the same feeling with him that I got with Votto in 2008 - he's very under the radar and in deep keeper leagues has serious upside.

That is an insanely stacked team. I'm hoping you've won multiple titles.

That is an insanely stacked team. I'm hoping you've won multiple titles.

Won it 3 years ago off a Nate McLouth stolen base in the last game of the year. That team was quite a bit different than this one, Wright and Lincecum are the only carry-overs. Won it last season when I traded Tommy Hanson for Oswalt just before he got traded to Philly and destroyed the world (another trade that only happens in a keeper league and a major reason I only do keeper leagues anymore).

It has a 3-4 year window where it would be nearly impossible for me not to make the finals.

8 Team HTH

Dude...

That 8 teamer sucks. For only 8 teams, that squad is both shallow and relatively light on legitimate star power.

The 10 teamer is okay, but you didn't draft your pitching very well (and why do you have Lidge? Better go grab Contreras).

Both were auto drafts. The 10 team league I forgot about the draft. The eight team league was set up for auto.`

I agree that the 10 teamer is better. The 8 team league has a shit ton of scoring categories. It will be a weird one.

Batters Stat Categories: Runs (R), Doubles (2B), Triples (3B), Home Runs (HR), Runs Batted In (RBI), Stolen Bases (SB), Walks (BB), Total Bases (TB), Batting Average (AVG), On-base Percentage (OBP), Slugging Percentage (SLG), On-base + Slugging Percentage (OPS), Hitting for the Cycle (CYC), Grand Slam Home Runs (SLAM)
Pitchers Stat Categories: Innings Pitched (IP), Wins (W), Complete Games (CG), Shutouts (SHO), Saves (SV), Runs (R), Earned Runs (ER), Walks (BB), Strikeouts (K), Earned Run Average (ERA), (Walks + Hits)/ Innings Pitched (WHIP), Strikeouts per Nine Innings (K/9), Pickoffs (PICK), No Hitters (NH), Perfect Games (PG)

Here is my roster, I got in on the last minute, and do not play Fantasy Baseball every year. With Football possibly delayed or not at all this year I thought I would jump in one. The biggest mistake I make was Chase Utley in the 4th round, who may be out for two months. Though I do have a DL spot so I will use that! Its a 12 team league. I have some waiver wire work to do!
