When the lights come on at Turner Field for the second half of Wednesday's doubleheader, all eyes will be on Zack Greinke.

A mere 30 minutes after the first game is decided, the 2009 Cy Young Award winner will make his season debut for the Brewers against Braves veteran Tim Hudson. Greinke's first Milwaukee start was delayed by a cracked rib suffered in a pickup basketball game during Spring Training.

Thanks for your time in KC Zack. Was a big fan until you quit on your team. So feel free to go ahead and choke on it tonight and for the rest of your life.

Kill the Brewers. Kill the Brewers.

Oh. We've already done that in another thread.

By then we'll (hopefully) have enough pitching we won't need his quitter ass.

He didn't quit on his team. The guy suffers from severe social anxiety disorder, which is a real mental disorder.

Braves are up 1-0 after first inning. Two errors behind Zack already.

Zack just wanted to win. I don't blame him, and I would totally welcome him back in 2013 when his contract runs out (and I wouldn't be surprised at all if he came back). Imagine that haul-we get Escobar, Cain, Odorizzi-and then get Greinke back just in time to really compete for a championship.

Fuck him. You don't demand a trade while blocking trades to certain teams.

Grienke has baseball like 10th down on his list of things to do. I am sure feeding his brain fun candy is #1

Wanting to win and admitting you quit aren't quite the same thing. Everybody wants to win. Very few quit.

bullshit ... he even pretty much admitted he quit.

in his last season as a Royal you you could see the difference in his pitches after the Royals went on a losing streak and Greinke just stop giving 100%.

had nothing to do with any mental disorder

This. Plus he admitted he didn't put forth the effort last year in an interview after he was traded. This saying he quit stuff isn't just being made up.

It sounds like his teammates already hate him and vice versa. I was listening to an interview with a Milwaukee reporter today, and he did an interview with the media where he basically said that he doesn't enjoy doing interviews with the media or interacting with his teammates. He wasn't even at the first game of their double-header yesterday. Dude's going to be out of the league in 2 years.

Are you sure that wasnt an old interview? He also said he didn't like signing autographs for kids. But that was in spring training.
