Minors are interesting today. Duffy is pitching in Omaha, Dwyer is pitching in NWA.

If Duffy keeps rocking in Omaha, he'll eventually force his way up like Hosmer.

KC bullpen just got some props on ESPN. They were talking about how this looks like the year of the pitcher, even more so than last year, and part of that is because there are so many guys that throw hard. Tim Kurkjian said he was talking to Buck Showalter the other day about it, and Buck said the same thing. Then said "Have you seen the Kansas City bullpen? Everybody throws at least 95 mph."

We're so good that before Crow's hiccup, BP gone 26 innings without a run.

And, had he slid in feet first, he might not have been pushed off the bag.

But going in head first, he was easily pushed off on the tag.

And, had he slid in feet first, he might not have been pushed off the bag.

But going in head first, he was easily pushed off on the tag.

yeah, that is yet another problem with going in head-first to throw onto the pile of why its dumb to do it. If the fielder is perceptive and quick enough to react to your slide, he can block you with his knee. If your face slides right into his knee or he's able to get your head with his leg, thats your problem. No one in their right mind will try to block off your cleated foot.

If you can throw a 97 mph heater (Blake Wood), you can, someday, maybe, with a lot of coaching, perhaps learn to pitch. But, you've got to have the tools.

Francis has no tools. If he cant throw every single pitch for a strike, hit the corners, and be lucky, then he'll have a bad day.

Duffy is having another good day so far.

Dwyer got rocked, and is the early contender for the "at least one of these 4 lefty studs are inevitably going to bust on us" award.

well, here we go again. The closer is their achilles heel, but 3 runs is kinda tough.

HO-LEY CRAP! This chick singing the national anthem can not sing worth a damn.

she has cancer, didn't sound horrible at the ball park, or my parents would have said something snide

minors done. Moustakas, Cain, Duffy, and Perez had good days, Giavotella and Dwyer did not.

Seems like the worm has turned. Ah well. They weren't going to win every series all year. Hopefully they can find a way to win some games on the road. I'd like to see them still within striking distance of .500 by month's end.
