Only one real option left

I chose Hudson because I see Baldwin getting into the doghouse until catching fire at about the halfway point once he "gets it" that this team has one true alpha male and thats Haley.

Lol @ if they are all signed in time.

Baldwin is going to physically dominate corners all year long in single coverage.

He'll be in the running for LEAGUE rookie of the year honors.

Baldwin is coming into the NFL just like Randy Moss did, pissed off that he wasn't drafted sooner and pwning everyone. He's going to make us love Matt Cassel.

Why is this in draftplanet? Not team oriented enough for the lounge. This isn't pipe dream draft prospect circle jerk material, nor is it full on war against the idea of a 1st round tackle. It is a discussion about which Chiefs rookie will help the team the most. This poll would be more effective if more people were to see it and vote.

Houston. I would say baldwin if he had a non special olympic qb, throwing to him.

Based on the positions our rookies will play I'd guess Hudson. I'm really hoping it's Baldwin though...

I wanted Justin Houston (poll fail brah). I voted Jerrell Powe, I think he takes our front seven to the next level eating up space and blockers.

The fact that Baldwin was working with Larry Fitzgerald prior to the draft, and had plans to continue to do so after the draft suggests that he not only has the motivation to excel, but that he also has a mentor that can prepare him to learn to work for Haley.

I think it's highly likely, given the lack of talent at the WR position, that Baldwin has the most impact among the rookies, especially given the short amount of time that rookies will have to prepare for the season.

The other rookies will more than likely be worked into the rotation slowly, while Baldwin will most likely be pressed into service as quickly as possible.

This poll woud last 2 days, tops, in the lounge. Here it could go on for weeks, much to my shame.

I see Hudson as a 16 game starter and a good one at that.

I personally think the Cheifs, when the lockout finally ends, will talk Weigman into coming backfor one more season, and will work Hudson into the starting lineup over the course of the season.

Not what I would do, nor what I want them to do, but what I believe they will do.

I chose Hudson because I don't see Weigman coming back IMO, and if this guy can provide the push up the middle we need; Cassel and Charles will both be buying him lots and lots of KC BBQ. Improved play at Center will make a world of difference for the offense overall. Baldwin will improve the passing game but has little effect on the running game IMO outside of playaction plays.

I'd love to see Baldwin step right in for an immediate impact ala Crabtree, but history tells me not to hold my breath, despite all of the things he's doing to prepare. Theres an awful lot of nuance for a rookie wr to learn.

With that in mind, i went Powe, but that was out of wishful thinking as well... so, i think Houston has the best chance to make game changing plays right away as a situational pass rusher.

Powe is going to take a few seasons to develop, no way he comes right in and kicks ass.

If Baldwin wins the OROY award, that will say as much about the growth of Matt Cassel as a effective passer as it does about the instant impact Baldwin can offer.

Baldwin is a WR.

Drafted by the Chiefs...

on the bright side, he wasn't a second rounder drafted by the CHiefs

If Baldwin wins the OROY award, that will say as much about the growth of Matt Cassel as a effective passer as it does about the instant impact Baldwin can offer.Dwayne Bowe was 5 short of 1k yards as a rookie catching passes from Damon Huard and Brodie Croyle on a team "coached" by Herman Edwards. What made the difference was Tony Gonzalez. And now, in turn, Baldwin has Bowe. And Tony Moeaki. And Jamaal Charles. It won't take Cassel turning into Aikman for Baldwin to put up big numbers. Although that certainly wouldn't hurt.

Though I will go with the option that there's no season this year.
