Have the wife and son here too. What should we be sure to do that will entertain a 4 year old boy and his parents?

Already on the list:
* Science Center
* Royals Game (Wednesday night)

I think this is supposed to be pretty cool:

The farmstead is great. Also, you're thinking of Science City. I have a 4 year old son. I would suggest geting "Ride and Slide" passes to Worlds and Oceans of Fun. They are a water park and an amusement park side by side. They just completely revamped the kids area, and my wife says its great.

Where are you staying?

The Steamboat Arabia museum was pretty good. I enjoyed it when I was in 3rd grade...it might be a little old for your son though.

Also, I remember some kind of 1800s village thing somewhere near Blue Springs or Lee's Summit. Does anyone know what the name of it is?

How is the new Schlitterbahn up there? Has anyone been?

Bonita Flats. The KCMO strip clubs suck.

I agree with the Deanna Rose idea. It's free and kids love it. I also used to take my kids to the Overland Park Arboretum & Botanical Gardens (also free). It's a nice place to walk around and you can do a short walk or a long one. That's at 179th near 69.

We went to Wonderscope quite a few times. It's like a hands on science center for kids. That's over off Johnson Drive. My kids always liked it. I thought it was maybe a bit overpriced, but sometimes they put a coupon in those Entertainment Books, so if you have one or know someone who does, check and see.

If you haven't seen it, the new Bloch building at the Nelson is great. Not sure how much a 4 year old would appreciate the art, but the architecture is really cool.

Yeah, we were talking about something like that... didn't know the name. I think it's definitely on the agenda now. Thanks!
