Oil drilling rig takes a direct hit from a tornado, pix

My Father sent these to me.

All it said was "Cactus 117 Tornado Direct Hit" in Oklahoma.

Incredible pix. It toppled a rig that was sitting on what looks like a 20' high substructure.

By the time stamp on the photos, is the day after the Joplin tornado? Or was it the same storm, and pictures just couldn't be taken until the day after?

The tornado was clearly going after the blue trailer. The oil rig was collateral damage.

I wouldn’t. Since the pictures are dated May 23rd that has to be the same storm that went on to drop a tornado on Grand Lake, which is the same storm that dropped that F5 on Joplin.
