Peyton Manning...goddam marketing genious!

...I'm sure he has to bring little Eli along so Mom doesn't get pissed.

Being a Patriots fan, of course I despise and detest The Great Gazoo. But I do have to hand it to the Forehead: he doesn't take himself too seriously, and can be pretty damn funny. I still love his PSA about "teaching" little kids how to play football. Eli, on the other hand, yeah, he's just riding the coattails. (Has Peyton ever hosted "SNL" like Brady? I bet that would be pretty good.)

No kidding.

the reason people hate Peyton is simply because they are haters. The dude is hilarious and a helluva quarterback. I know i will watch as many games with him Quarterbacking as i can.

1.) Sexual-harassment situation with the trainer.

2.) Silver spoon backlash (first-overall, father was a QB).

3.) Constant choker in the big games (he's won 1 SB and he wasn't even the biggest factor in the season or the game).

4.) Throws his teammates under the bus.

5.) Looks goofy.

6.) Talks goofy.

7.) Wins a lot.

If it weren't for the humor he displays in commercials and whatnot, I'd detest him. But he doesn't seem to take himself too seriously, so that earns him points.

You don't get an opinion on this matter.....you're biased.

Oh....and Tom Brady wasn't a factor in the 1st SB victory....but I won't go there.

Why am I biased? I'm just as biased as any non-Colts fan would be.

Oh... and you obviously didn't watch the last drive of that Super Bowl.

The last drive where he dumped the ball off and the RBs and WRs did all of the work?

Whatever. Dude was a sixth-rounder thrust into starting that season, against the powerhouse "unbeatable" Rams, with a crap offense (J.R. Redmond? Jermaine Wiggins?), and with a minute left he drove them downfield for the game-winning FG and their first Lombardi ever. "Wasn't a factor"? Your and idiot. Take your obvious Brady hate somewhere else, it wasn't the subject of this thread.

I like Manning and the way he handles himself off the field.

But I tend to get a little agitated with the fact that people don't recognize his shortcomings, most notably that he has underperformed in critcal situations in the playoffs.

It pisses me off that he's being hailed by some as the greatest QB ever, when in reality he isn't the best in Colt franchise history.

I don't hate Peyton Manning.

I hate the overhype of Peyton Manning.

But I'd love to have him as the Chiefs QB.

Hilarious!

It has been reported this is not a commercial. According to DirectTV's Web site, three episodes have been filmed.

ORLANDO MIDNIGHT

Archie Manning

When it comes to defense attorneys, Orlando Midnight (Archie Manning) is as slick as they come. He's smart, charismatic and incredibly well connected. He's also not afraid to bend a few rules, especially if it will make life harder for Tahoe and Hunter.

Peyton Manning cussing some kids out in a skit during his hosting of 'Saturday Night Live.' Very, very funny.
