Tribe on Papua New Guinea meets white man for the first time. Filmed in 1976.

I've heard of ones that turned out to be staged. This one, however, seems more genuine.

Seriously that's like 60,000 years of evolution in 12 minutes.

Really cool video.

Wonder what is up with that tribe right now.

I really hope to go to Papua New Guinea at some point. It seems like a fascinating place.

If this clip is real, I would imagine that we'd look like that at some point if aliens ever arrive on earth. However, I must admit that the high-quality camera work and multiple angles made me a little suspicious about whether this was really filmed in the field in 1976. It seems too good.

Do you think we've really evolved much in that time - or just accumulated a lot more tools?

I think "evolving" can mean a lot of different things but I see your point.

I think it's real. They use the same angle for extended shots cutting to a different angle at a different point in time. What I'm saying is that as far as I could tell, the video could have been done (and to me, looked like it was) with one camera. Obviously, I could be wrong.

Either way, that video is transcendent.

I have my doubts. But if that's real, it would be pretty amazing...

Apparently this guy gets his rocks off by mind fucking tribes of people who until then had never seen a white person or technology.

Whether it's real or not, that's one of the coolest things I've ever seen.

Oh, please. It's a fucking nature documentary that you'd see on Discovery Channel. Don't overreact like someone just linked a XXX porn vid. If your employer is pissed off over a tribal boob but not over the general insanity on this website, that'd be astounding.

BTW, if anyone knows that song in the 10-13 minute range, let me know. I think it's actually Native American and was in the IMAX documentary "Wolves", but it's not on the actual CD soundtrack from that film for some reason. I remember hearing it in the film, though.

Y'know, I'll bet he could kill that whole tribe with a semi-automatic rifle.

Oh.

Sorry about that. Sometimes 10,000 years of European ancestry bubbles up when you least expect it.

I didn't watch the video. Was the white person roasted or stewed?

This looks like it's from 1983. I've heard these don't usually end well.
