I had a BLT on Wednesday. It wasn't really bacon, but turkey bacon. Works fine on a sandwich.

Yesterday. Had some super-thick sliced bacon that my local supermarket slices and sells. It was like chewing on crunchy leather, unfortunately.

I had Wendy's about a week ago and got the Asiago Spicy Chicken sandwich. The sandwich is actually really good if made fresh. The bacon on it is probably the best fast food bacon I've ever had.

I had a pound & a 1/2 for breakfast this morning. Our family bacon

Baby Lee

3 slices, crumbled into my big-ass salad.

Which reminds me, who the eff buys 'real bacon' in a bottle from the salad toppings aisle. It's like 3 ounces for $3, which means you're buying bacon at $16 a lb.

Is it really that hard to cook some bacon, crumble it up and put it in a container for use when eating salads?

We've got some bacon and tomato sandwich fixings in the on-deck circle for dinner. Switching to past tense, I don't really recall. Definitely within the last couple of weeks, I'm sure, but 99% of my bacon is as a garnish. Other than on burgers, I very seldom have a full unadulterated slice of that glorious substance.

While I was typing this, my wife wandered through the room and told me she'd just bought some "great tomatoes" for our upcoming bacon and tomato sandwiches.

While I agree in principle - WTF buys bacon in a bottle - it's not exactly the same as $16/pound. Get your pound of raw bacon. Cook it till it's crispy. Weigh it. The cooking process has rendered off a lot of fat and a lot of that pound you paid for.

Whoa, this is freaky.

I was gnawing on a turkey sandwich when I wrote my posts below. My wife just now informed me that she was going to make bacon and tomato sandwiches for us for lunch, but didn't when she saw me with the turkey sandwich.

Minor except, I save my bacon fat for other uses.

I had bacon on my pizza today at lunch. I haven't had bacon since then, but it's not dinner time yet. Are we including bacon bits? Because I'm thinking about eating some from the little bottle right now.

Oh yeah- the pizza had those deep fried chicken strips (chopped up), bacon, and a garlic sauce. They called it a chicken-bacon-ranch pizza. Got it from the cafeteria at work.

Mea culpa. I used to buy the Hormal Real Bacon bag at the local grocery store. The wife found a one pound bag (or maybe it's two) at Costco, so she buys that now. I have to eat a lot of salad.

Bet ya got nothing on Adam from Man VS Food....some of the shit that guy eats must be sheer torture comming back out, I seriously thought he was gonna puke those 12 wings back up the other night.
Bad enough to eat em, but NO napkin, or water, then had to lick the juice off his fingers and sit there for 5 mins after

I once won a bar bet for $350.

Rules were, I had to drink a pint glass full of Tabasco sauce. A true pint glass from the bar. And I had to keep it down for 1 hr. I could have no food or drink other than 1 shot glass of water.

I did it. Had one huge burp directly after, that I thought was gonna bust the seal, but I managed to hold it. Threw up some of it about 3 hours later. Tabasco vomit coming up through the nose is good times. The rest exited in a fiery hell of torture over the course of the next morning. I really can't imagine anything worse than that.

Heh! A buddy of mine was in a pizza eating contest at Shakey's and ate 30 pieces of pizza and lost to a guy who ate 31. We left to go home and the 31 slice dude was puking his guts in the parking lot. My buddy said, "Ha, I guess I won after all."

Not very much in the last 4 years, my cardiologist does not speak very kind of bacon.

But to be honest, when traveling, I just have to have a McDonalds Bacon/Egg/Cheese bagel once in a while.

I make them at home with turkey bacon, and that stuff is pretty good if you petrify it in the microwave.
