What's the most you've ever spent on a door knob?

I'm guessing $1,756,438. And we're still married.

I spent $100 on a two-pack of exterior knobs and deadbolts. Not really all that high I've found, but it was more than I expected a couple hunks of metal to cost.

We recently replaced basically every piece of metal attached to our house (knobs, hinges, rail braces, closet pulls, etc.) and got rid of the old 90's brass in favor of a brushed nickel look. I was amazed that that whole deal cost us nearly $500 - even when we were buying the cheap stuff.

Spent about $125 for the front and back door on a good deadbolt and knob combo.

If I'm ever at the point in my life where I worry about what my door knob looks like I doubt I'll be able to tell you how much they cost.

$75 for a five piece set. Three knobs and two deadbolts all keyed alike. It was a solid investment.

You're not buying a door knob. You're buying access.
