He's not a bad QB. He's not great, either.

I'm hopeful he will continue to improve.

I'm bullish on Cassel. He'll never be a top tier but I don't think he belongs in the "great head, terrible ability" compli-sult that people typically bestow upon him.

I think he's undergone a transformation this offseason that has effectively rallied the team around him.

Add in all those great acquisitions we've made, and I think we've got ourselves a different Matt Cassel in 2011.

Some of those passes were truly striking, and his athleticism provides for some great options as well from time to time. His accuracy is always going to be iffy, but we've countered that problem by providing him some damn good big bodies with acrobatic ability to haul in crazy passes (Baldwin, Bowe, Moeaki).

Cassel made some good progress last season. I doubted the hell out of him before last year, but at least he did pretty damn well against bad-average teams. He just stunk against good teams for the most part. Still...at least he did well in most of our games. Didn't throw a lot of INTs either which is great. If Baldwin pans out like I expect him to, that should help give Cassel the opportunity to play well against the better defenses. Plus he has another year of experience in our system. I can't wait to see how he does. A lot of tough games on the schedule.

Bowe is a powerful WR like TO. Baldwin is more gracefull like Randy Moss. He is the perfect style WR to play opposite Bowe. Hopefully he pans out.

I'm a couple of days late with this but Mr. Wendler of Chiefs Planet and Red Tribe Cinema fame has come out with a highlight video of Kansas City Chiefs QB Matt Cassel. If you don't know by now, Mr. Wendler is Mr. Highlight Video. He's the best at these things.

So check out the latest highlight video of Cassel after the jump. It's well worth the five minutes and 36 seconds.

My favorite part is how it starts -- Cris Collinsworth doubting Cassel. If you remember, Collinsworth said this about Cassel before the season: "When they absolutely have to throw the ball he can throw it out there and complete a pass every once in a while. They're not winning games with the passing game."

And then Cassel goes on to make the Pro Bowl which prompted this image of Collinsworth eating crow:
