Bought that Ford Focus about 8 months ago and it has been a great car but saw this on craigslist today.

I think I'm in love. Anyone here know this car?

Says it has around 200k miles but if I sell the SVT and buy this one, I should have plenty of dough left over for an engine and/or tranny rebuild.

straight six, i'm pretty sure you can still get weber carbs and intakes, at 200k, I'd rebuild or upgrade the suspension and brakes.

pretty rare car, you should look on line for body parts, etc.

I'm surprised nada goes back that far. Really though, once your talking about a car that old...it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. If it runs as good as it looks (aside from the ground effects) then I suppose it might fetch that much.

Oh man, that would be a nice toy to have, but I don't think it would be a good daily driver, man.

My dad had one.

It rusted like mad. He got it patched up and sold it.

Fun car, but it won't look like that for long...

I swear I had a '78 Datsun hatchback but I thought it was a 510, and the back was more of a station wagon design than a hatch, but any car pic I pull up online looks way too big. Little beige car, I beat the crap out of it.

Have to agree, but someone will pop a full boy over it and pay at least 5K.

My great aunt had a 1950 Buick Denver, that kinda looked like that. At least the grill did. My cuz has the car now. 63,000 original miles last summer when I went for a cruse in it.
What is the car is in the pic?

I was thinking Mazda was the only manufacture that used rotary motors but could be wrong. Some of the precursor's to the RX-7 might have had them.

I can't be of help, as my first car was much older than the one you are looking to purchase.

Yeah, only Mazda used them in production vehicles. There was also an RX-3 and some of their pickups used the Wankel engine.

Shit, if you're in Miami, it's probably easier to get an old car FROM Cuba. They have shitloads of old rides rollin' around and there's no rust on 'em.
