IMO it's Melky if we can get pitching for him or a 2bman. They aren't convinced by Giavotella it seems. Cain can take Melkys place. MY GUT ONLY tells me that the Royals aren't counting on Myers quite as much... at least to be as ready soon... hence the interest in BJ Upton.

From what I've seen the Royals don't believe Giavotella is more than a super-sub. I'm not saying they're right, that's just what I've read. They want Colon to be the 2Bman of the future but he's far away. I don't think they believe Giavotella will be any better than Getz at the major league level so they side with the vet for now. It's all a fluid situation.
