Kind of cool. The Green Bay Police department has authorized a new badge for Police officers to wear until next August honoring the Packers as Super Bowl Champions. Wonder if this will ever be us.

Clark Hunt says if the Chiefs ever win he will provide badges to the officers, for the low price of $100.

I'm not sure that's allowed up there.

What's the biggest crime in Green Bay? Burning rubber & spinning donuts in the school parking lot.

Wait, the parking lots are gravel

I hope all the Green Bay fans remember to thank the refs from their home game against Minny last year. If they hadn't of Overturned Deshante Shankos obvious TD at the end of the first half GB would have lost, gone 9-7, missed the postseason and everyone would be talking about A Rod has yet to win a playoff game, let alone a Super Bowl.

What? I think it's great.This.

I don't think any other NFL city could pull this off without lots of red tape and hand wringing. I'd also suppose that Green Bay's culture is intertwined more deeply with its football team than any other American sports town is with any of its teams. Maybe ever.

Yep, true. That did not occur to me but it makes a lot of sense.

Maybe the officials from that game should get a special badge made for them too

Read the article... the cops have to pay for it themselves, or they can take the standard badge.

What the hell did the police do to win the super bowl??

The city owns the team, if I'm not mistaken? So taxpayers are all owners, including the police force.

You bet your ass if I owned 1/1,000,000th of the Chiefs, I'd walk around with my dick hanging out and our '69 ring blinged out for all to see.

All day. Every day.

Who is to say that after Feb 5, 2012 the Packers are still Super Bowl champions? But they will wear them until next August.
