It's been 105 and pure sun for like 45 days in a row here. I keep looking at the 10 day forecast and all it says is 105 and sun.

We in the midwest wouldn't bitch if we had ocean on three sides of us. Everything is just nicer in Florida. Bastard.

Not if it's at 70% humidity.

Not if it's at 70% humidity.

Currently 97* at 58%. But yeah, KC is really suffering.

I can deal with the heat, it's just the no rain that gets to me. Every day is the same, all through July and August. Just heat and sun, no rain.

I can't complain compared to you guys, but it's been pretty toasty here by our standards. Currently 94F, though that's only with 15 percent humidity. I'm ready for fall.

The humidity makes it just as bad as when it was 105+ actual.
I think it was 110 heat index today.
Fuck it, I gotta get shit done.

Dudes are outside working construction and landscaping in the heat. I don't know how they do it. I sat at a light yesterday and some dude was using a sledgehammer on some concrete next to me. Jeans, long sleeve shirt, helmet, vest, gloves, boots. They must need to drink gallons of water.

Today is a new record for Austin, 70 days over 100 in a calendar year (old record was set in 1925). They are predicting the hottest days of the year to be this weekend. Haven't seen rain in weeks.

I just came in from raking the yard, sweat pouring from me. 97 degrees with the Heat Index and I couldn't keep enough water in me!

There's this old guy who is the crossing guard for the elementary school near us. He must be 80 at least. He's out there in the heat going back and forth. I get scared for the dude. His wife has started sitting on the corner with water and cold towels for him, but he looks a little shaky out there.

I know what you mean. My grandmother just turned 91 and still gets out and mows and tends her garden in this stuff. I call her near daily when the weather is this extreme just to make sure she's ok.
