Don't normally play the slots much but got this on a 50 cent spin at The Horseshoe in Council Bluffs.

How does one go about collecting 2500 quarters? Do they come over with a bucket?

Actually one pushes the cash out button on the machine and a ticket comes out that reads $625.00,then one goes to the redemption center and cashes in and puts cash into pocket.Then this one proceeds to go back to gambling and 10 hours later has none of the 2500 quarters left. :D

I can't for the life of me, figure out why they give you free tickets to concerts and such. :shrug:

good win. People are always like what did you do with the money? I am like I gambled it. Thats my hobby to pass the time, I guess I could have bought socks and underwear or something boring with it.

Only slot wins of $1,200 or more are you required to fill out a W2G on the spot. Of course, you are supposed to report the smaller wins on your yearly tax return. ;)

That's usually only when there's at least a couple K involved.

A W2G is filled out for 1200 or more on slots
It's 5K for poker tournaments

Seriously though I figure I'm going to go to a lot of the concerts anyway and when they give me the tickets,the room,valet parking and drinks,why not.

Granted it's as if I'm paying for it but I'm also getting multiple hours of gambling entertainment to boot.

I hear you. We're headed to Vegas next week and though not totally free, we got 3 nights for $80 total (one free night). We're staying off strip at the Silverton. We visited there last year for about three hours and really liked it. I've had enough of the crappy odds and high table limits of the strip (not to mention the crowds).

Hey Joe,

I wanted you to know that I just got a call from the SJPD. They wanted to know if I knew a balding guy that likes ZZ Top that posted on here. They said he took a crow bar to the local car washed and jacked the place for all their quarters.

1,250 quarters should suffice for hush money.

What dates?I'll be there Friday thru Monday 9th-12th for the first weekend of NFL,got all 4 nights comped in a Flamingo GO Room with all the extras and a view of the Strip,which I'll never see because I'll be gambling. :)
