Woman buys an Ipad. Made of painted wood. WUT?

SPARTANBURG, SC (WIS) - Spartanburg County deputies are looking for two men who sold a piece of wood painted to look like an iPad to a woman in a McDonald's parking lot.

Ashley McDowell, 22, told deputies she was buying food around 10:00 p.m. Monday when two men approached her in the parking lot trying to sell her an iPad or a laptop. According to a police report, the men showed McDowell a new iPad and told her they had bought several in bulk.

McDowell said she gave the men $180, and the men gave her a FedEx box out of the trunk of their car. When McDowell opened the box at home, she said she found a piece of wood painted black with an Apple logo.

McDowell told deputies one of the suspects had a gold tooth and was driving a white Chevy Impala with no rims and no tint.

Sort of a scam, but a good one- when I was at Woodstock (the second one) these two dudes put up this little table and a sign that said, "Free Breast Painting" and chicks were coming right up and taking off their shirts so these dudes could paint circles and stuff on their breasts. It was genius.

I was driving cab in Panama city Fl and it was getting late, A guy walked up and needed a ride just a short distance. It was about a 3 dollar ride. He gave me a 20 and I gave him change. When I got where I could see, He had cut the corners off of 4 $20 bills and glued them on the 4 corners of a $1 bill, I didn't look close enough. He got me.

Meh, anything from Apple sucks anyway. I bought this laptop from a guy who was working out of the dumpster area behind our local 7-11. He said low overhead helps him charge the low prices. Anyway, I bought a brand new computer from the guy and the thing won't even boot up. I'm done with Apple products, I'm sticking with a PC because they just work. I paid 500 for it, will let it go for 300 to someone who can work on computers and get it going. Here's a pic:
